Topic: Hey everybody! :)

Im a 14 year old swedish guitar freak.

I have played the guitar since 2002 and just like joe bonamassa i started on a chiquita short scaled gutiar, however i started when i was like 8 years old , and it was my dads old guitar so i bought a new one not long after i started.

I listen to most music from the 50's and the 60's. I am in a band called The Vintage and we play stuffs like The Shadows and The spotnicks. We're going on an "european tour" this summer and our second record is about to be released.

I have begun listening to blues now, love the music and the feelings, i first heard about Stevie ray Vaughan then my older brother Tim showed me Joe bonamassa and i love it!

That was it for me!

Happy Happy Me!!! So glad you've joined Simon. When we get young people here we know the future is bright. You may also now be the youngest, so congrats from the eldest women...But, don't be afraid...What you have to say matters. Welcome Simon. Hope you get to see Joe before too long. By the way Cathy, what's Geritol? Is it something I should be taking too?

Tripsy

Re: Hey everybody! :)

It's a liquid vitamin tonic that was always hyped on TV to give the elderly pep! I'm hoping it works!   Cathy

Re: Hey everybody! :)

Tripsey darling,  Permit me to answer for her majesty.  Geritol is an old product for old people, touted for years as the cure-all for "iron poor blood."  It was marketed mainly on the Lawrence Welk Show.

It's long been "fallen out of favor" if you will, but I'm certain it's less harmful than most the poison Big Beelzebub Pharma tries to sell us.

It's a vitamin and mineral supplement, designed to give us old poots a lift.

Re: Hey everybody! :)

Thanks Bigjeff

But I thought the stuff to give old poots a lift was called Viagra!!!
Sorry that was a bit coarse.
Cathy, you could try mixing it with a little vodka and red bull. That would give you a right turbo boost.
Ah well, time for my cocoa.
G'night all y'all

Re: Hey everybody! :)

Oh yeah and by the way, I used to listen to john Fogerty, back then I thought he was an GREAT guitar player. I still like his music but his guitar playing isnt really that good now that Im used to really good players like Joe.

Anyway I have seen john fogerty before in sweden and will probably see him again in like 2 months just cause hes a great song writer and singer.

And when I was listening to some songs (like tombstone shadow, modern and old CCR version) a few days ago I realized that Fogerty isnt very good at all compared to SRV, Joe, and many other guys.

Ive also noticeing that Chuck Barry can play like 7 licks when he solos, thats it.

not trying to say that these Musicians are bad musician, its just that I used to thing they were really good and now i realise that these blues guys are so much better (I think)

well yeah..thats it

Re: Hey everybody! :)

Welcome Simon and thank you for bringing down the average age of the forum by a great deal.
