Re: Joe's Les Paul

"who does he sound like? I don't know....a little Paul Rogers, a little Greg Allman.........a lot of Joe? a truly great voice..."

Good point. I always thought Joe had a unique voice. I couldn't think of anyone he sounded like.

Re: Joe's Les Paul

yes, he definitly has his own voice....vocals-wise AND guitar-wise, and that's very rare in this pre-fabbed american idol age in which we live, he doesn't try to sound like stevie ray like alot of young blues players, but then again joe isn't just a blues player, he's a musician, look at the diversity of his calalog my personal favorite album is so, it's like that, which demonstrates superior songwriting in addition to great musicianship

oh, and les pauls rule!

I love guitar talk! Deezer, if you don't subscribe to Guitar One, I'll maill you a recent interview from September's issue.  Joe talks about rocking the blues and coping with a guitar addiction, bought five on his last tour and keeps a 65' strat in his kitchen. (gotta' love a man who keeps a guitar in the kitchen...)  Like jim m. said before, Joe's playing  the "G" guitars on tour, but if I know guitar guys, you always need a strat in your arsenal and you can never forget the catalyst of your addiction. Variety, the spice of life!

Joe's moving away from Strats, he doesn't even use them in concert anymore. The only thing he uses with a Fender body style is the Gigliotti. He likes that the tone is fatter with the LP's.

Wow. I completely missed this post. That offer still up?
