Topic: Has any one checked out Blackheart Amps yet?

I was just wondering if anybody's had a chance to play or hear any of these amps.  I'm thinking about getting the 15 watt, Handsome Devil, for at home use.

I'm asking here, because I know Joe was at the NAAM show and I want his oppion on them.

Re: Has any one checked out Blackheart Amps yet?

Buddy,  I just bought the Little Giant 5 (3w/5w switchable) head with the BH112 speaker cabinet (12" Eminence speaker) the thing absolutly rocks in my book. Very plain and simple, 3 band Eq. (bass, middle and treble) and a volume knob. Believe me it is plenty loud, Marshally (is that a word) tone. I got together with a few buddy to jam last weekend and it was the only amp I took. I was fearful that I was going to get drowned out by the drums and other guitar but wasnt. I'm a weekend jammer and it fits the bill perfect. For $250.00 one of my best musical purchases to date.

Check out You Tube. You'll find a few demo videos.

Thanks.  I know there are some gear heads in here and I wanted a second opinion... other than the salesman's or Blackheart/Crate's.

One more question though.  How loud can you play with a clean tone?

Re: Has any one checked out Blackheart Amps yet?

Keep in mind it isnt a 2 channel head. The only way to get a fairly clean sound is to turn down (3w) and mess with the eq a bit. I mean it when I say it is bare bones. That the beauty and why it only cost 250.00 bucks.

Cool... & thanks.  For the money I guess you really can't complain though.  I checked it out on youtube & I'm loving it so far.  I want a good tube 112 tube amp that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.  I really wanted something with a good clean tone, too.  Don't know what I'm going to do.  :s

Re: Has any one checked out Blackheart Amps yet?

FYI....the 112 stands for 1-12" speaker.
