Topic: What Year Is That White Esquire...

Joe plays in the DVD? That thing sounds absolutely killer!!!

Pickups?

Joe needs to put up a guitars page.

Re: What Year Is That White Esquire...

I believe I read somewhere that it is a '61... and, according to Joe, it "must be the loudest Tele ever made"
I'm guessing the pickups are original, but I'm not sure...

hope this helps,
Scott

Re: What Year Is That White Esquire...

ahh... I found the article- it was from the tonequest report- http://www.10e20webdesign.net/joe_bonam … rticle.pdf

just search for esquire and you'll find it... maybe they're talking about different guitars?  I don't know- I think (if I remember correctly) the esquire has a rosewood fingerboard and those didn't come out on fender's until the early 60's.
