If I'm alive when I'm 99 I'm still gonna be saying, "Remember 4th May 2009 when we saw Joe at the RAH... what a night that was!"

How do you set your camera to take such beatiful pictures.
I've been taking lots of pics myself.

Geoff..I couldn't stop looping the slides..The lighting is spot on! Nice to see Michael!! You caught some angles that are new to me. He may be feeling bad but he's looking lean and mean! Thanks extra for the Gigliotti..Nice shades! Cathy

Re: Crewe with Michael!
Wow, folks, thank you so much for your opinions. I'm really chuffed! I've really only started still photography about 5 or 6 months ago. Such praise is very embarassing I have to tell you. I simply read a lot of photographic magazines lately and try to follow their tips and use a bit of commonsense. I'm very much still learning, so you don't really need to know how many I delete, but it's a lot! No point showing pictures that are inferior. I am super critical of what I do and often make the same mistakes time after time. My golden rules for concert pictures are fairly simple. ISO 800, Manual exposure and aperture as wide as it will go. If you set up on something like f5.6 or less and the shutter speed is slower that 1/10th of a second you are in deep do do land, with the inevitable dustbin close at hand. Just take loads of pictures and try to capture the feeling that exudes from the musician. like I said earlier, I'm new to all this and trial and error are key at the moment. I'm just so pleased you like my efforts, they are placed in the public domain so copy them if you want, just give me the nod for the effort I took to put them there! Thanks
Geoff
Re: Crewe with Michael!
Thanks for your response Geoff, going to try it after I get my camera cleaned.
There's some inside that showed on my pics. But going to try your tips.
Really like the pics.
When I made mine from my last roadtrip in the us.I also deleted a lot, just until i was satisfied with the result. But that's the beauty of a digital camera. It don't cost you any filmrolls and can delete and start all over again
Re: Crewe with Michael!
Geoff - I was at the Manchester gig last night - can't wait to see your pics. Did you take any video footage too - if so, you putting those up too?
Re: Crewe with Michael!
Those are some outstanding photos. Beautiful lighting, great angles. I love the close ups of Joe's face and hands on the neck of the guitar. Thanks so much for sharing.
Oh, and it's good to see the bloke in the Yankees cap again.

Lean and Mean - Are you talking about Michael or Joe, cos Michael was feeling pretty rough too!
This tour is going so well for Joe, it's kinda satisfying to see so many people getting turned on to him

Re: Crewe with Michael!
Nice ... very nice Geoff. You have the right eye for photos - mine always come out just not framed right. I try to blame the camera but have to admit operator error.
I am intrigued ... where did Joe get his new haircut? It makes him look all growed up, what with the suit as well.
Re: Crewe with Michael!
Yeh, you can just see the scene at the hairdressers.....
Oh yeh, so you're a POP star eh?
And how short would you like that?

Oh to be a little mouse in the corner and scurry over and snatch up a lock of that hair.

P.S. Joe told me one time if I stood next to him long enough some of it might fall on to me.
