Getting giddy now only 12 hours to go. Travelling over from West Yorkshire. Can't set off til 5! Hope car doesn't break down! What if it snows?  What if the motorway closed by a huge accident? Breathe woman. That's it slow deep breaths. Take a chill pill (all right a nice cup of tea). See you there Jeff.

Re: Pacific Road

Quite simply the best of the 5 Joe gigs I've seen, the guys were havin' fun. We even spotted the deliberate mistake you made Joe - we know that Bogie doesn't come from Sydney and Rick doesn't come from Cal etc etc etc. Joe announced that all the English gigs are sold out - no surprise this time round my friend! Bogie seemed a little restrained but absolutely "on the money", but no solo this time round. Carmine was really in the groove and Rick seemed well up for it, giving a great performance of his own. The lighting sucked I'm afraid, I was front and centre and taking a few pictures as you do, the lighting was so poor once Joe moved away from the mic to solo, that it was difficult at times to see his fingerwork - Mountain Time being particularly poorly lit! There were loads of Bonavirgins there lastnight and they took their babtism with great gusto. Two encores . We asked Dave before the start if Asking Around for you was on the set list - he said not tonight. So when Joe played it in one of the encores my partner Sue was in tears, she loves that song, as it reminds her of the loss of her 2 year old grandson last year!

We pick up our guest Batman (Michael Lynch)on Friday and then we're off to Crewe and Manchester Saturday - Aaaaahhh the weekend looks good!!

Re: Pacific Road

Hi Geoff

I'll be at Manchester on Sturday (Sheffield Sunday and Morcambe the week after) with guitar mad son and wife. If I see a guy front centre with a camera, I'll say hi.

sorry , but I'm not sure if you can view pics unless you're already on myspace , but I guess many are .

Re: Pacific Road

Jeff,

No, apparently you don't have to be a member, because I'm not and I just spent a VERY nice, I mean REALLY NICE, several moments watching and listening to your photo montage.  It made me feel very much like I was there - different and maybe even better than a video.  Thank you so much for sharing.

Re: Pacific Road

Geoff..Gutted about Sue's loss..no words!  A few Joe shows with a gang of Bonabuddies, including Michael, is going to help you all put any sad or bad memories on hold. We wait to hear all the stories like it's X-mas Eve! Represent the Bonamaniac Nation well!!!!   Cathy     Jeff. Thanks for sharing!

Jeff, your photos of the Pacific Road gig are fantastic!  Part 1, eh?  When will Part Deux be available?

Re: Pacific Road

Jeff -  Very nice pictures!!  I especially like the ones where Joe was trading out his guitars. Something I love to watch but never think to photograph. Lucky you to be in the perfect spot to get those pics!  Can't wait for Part 2.

Re: Pacific Road

Yet another talent of Mr. B.'s - speedy, effortless guitar exchanges.  I sat about six feet from the designated swapping out post at a recent show and was fascinated! Seriously, if you blink, you'll miss it!

Re: Pacific Road

I loved your pictures Jeff!!!!  You've captured the Joe Bonamassa essence very well, some great hair shots in there, too wink  Thanks so much for sharing, was going to request Add to Friends, but don't know your last name and/or email adress to request.  I'm like donna, can't wait for Part Two.  What fun...every day I pull up the tour dates, fingers crossed, one of these days...............  Patty

Re: Pacific Road

Oh my goodness, you have Michael a/k/a Batman riding shotgun to the show? Tell me how he's dressed this time. You know, the man always dresses to the nines when he's going to see Mr. Joe play. Watch his alcohol intake, he gets quite amorous when intoxicated. I don't want you to be too upset if he leans over and kisses you on the cheek at the show while Joe is playing "You Upset Me Baby". He won't recall doing it the next day. At least that's what joebeacon told me when it happened to him in New York at B. B. King's place this past October. lol

Green Bay Packers shirt with "Lynch" on the back and a NY beanie!!! Covering his bets I say!

He flung his arms around me too! What was really worrying was that he was drinking water!!!
