Re: VEGAS BABY!!

I was going to Vegas and love guitar and had seen Joe on the cover of Guitar Player Mag.  So when I was looking for something to do for night life I noticed Joe was playing.  Not knowing what to expect (I have no cd's) I was literally blown away!  The absolute best guitar player I have ever seen and I've seen most of the greats.  He was also very humble.  I was playing video poker at the bar and a young kid came up and we starting talking about the concert.  He drove 7 hours and was distraught that he didn't have any.  He offered me 200 for the pair and I said I would do it.  He said they were in line to get 25 seats before the show and luckily for him and myself he was able to get in.  Truly the best concert of my life and when he comes to the DC area please let me know.  Rock on Joe.  That acoustic guitar he plays is just plain and simple "SICK"!  Thanks for your time.  Also is the DVD any good?  I know stupid question.

Re: VEGAS BABY!!

Oh, Woofy, welcome to the wonderful world of Joe Bonamassa!  What a great discovery.
Buy every CD - you'll enjoy them all.  The DVD's are great.  You'll be hunting through YouTube, lots of Joe clips out there.  The JB-TV on this website has some great interviews and songs.  No 2008 tour dates for the DC area yet, but Joe has played here a lot in the past.  You may have seen a T-shirt that said "Joe Bonamassa - Always on the Road Tour" - it's true, fortunately for us.

Go back through these forum topics for some good reading about Joe.  I think many of us check this Forum as often as we do our e-mail.  People write in daily - hourly!  It's a fun place to talk about our favorite topic.  You are hooked, my friend!

Re: VEGAS BABY!!

First of all thank you for your warm welcome.  I feel privledged to say the least!  What can I say.....I try and explain the experience with others but I feel words can not and will not ever do justice.  My wife and I sat in the 4th row center and I might have been in a little Vegas overload but Joey just made my trip.  I think I lost 4 grand but gained 75 grand with this gig.
Even watching Joe TV doesn't do justice to just picking up a 10 dollar ticket and doing it the Joe Way!  Woooooooo .  Question, are orgasms part of the show or do you have to pay extra????  I think we had 27 on the 4th row alone....lol.   What is understated is his voice, this powerful God sent vocals just sent chills down my spine.  My wife is totally sick with the flu but is well enough to get better with Joe.  I am going down to the local music store and see what my mitts can grab a hold of.  Anything and everything would be good.  Until then the website will suffice and once again thanks for the welcome.  Rock on Joe!

Re: VEGAS BABY!!

Also I would like to thank the ladies for showing me that it ain't all dudes that like the blues.  You represent!  It might have been 50/50 at the show which is unheard of in my neck of the woods!

Re: VEGAS BABY!!

Joe does very well drawing in the ladies here in the Ozarks in Missouri.  It's more of an older draw as we seem to appreciate the finer side of music.  My kids drive me nuts in the car when they change the station to some rap I can not understand.  Welcome Woofy, glad you discovered Joe B.

Take care

Re: VEGAS BABY!!

Hey Woofy,

I was that distraught kid that didn't have tickets for the show. I'm so glad the both of us were able to get in. Now you see why I wanted to get in so badly! That was my fourth and best Joe B show. He is truly amazing. I'm so glad he played One Of These Days. One of my all time favorite Joe songs, that just blew my mind really. That was an amazing night, and I'm still riding the good feeling I got from that show. Anyone have the official set list? Or anymore photos?

Re: VEGAS BABY!!

Yeah, I've pissed alot of government dollars away pouring through this website.  Gonna pick up the DVD's first and then on to the CD's.  Chinacat how was the drive home?

Re: VEGAS BABY!!

Yeah I have a problem with crowds (bad experience at Ozzfest on the front row) and usually will want to leave when I think it's the last song but I didn't even flinch!  A testament to Joe's allure and power.

Re: VEGAS BABY!!

Woofy, the drive home was pretty terrible. It started snowing about 20 minutes north of St. George, and was dumping snow all the way back to Salt Lake. It was honestly the worst driving conditions I have ever been in. So many cars were going off the road and getting stuck. I was so ready to just be home, and the good vibes from the show got us back safely.

Without love in the dream it will never come true.

Re: VEGAS BABY!!

Well sorry about the conditions but I'm glad you got back ok.  Once again I want to thank you for the Joe intro so I could be Bonabatised.  You Rock.

There are over 500 seats in the venue. I believe there were more people than chairs. I would say somewhere between 500 to 600. Here is the seating chart. http://www.boulderstation.com/images/en … eating.pdf
