Alright! Who else plays like Eric? Unique sound. Always liked Devil's Train by him.

Technique doesn't come into it. I deal with emotions.

My favorite's always been Black Pearls personally. But everything's good.

Re: Eric Sardinas & Big Motor!!!

Roy,
I have to reconsider moving to Milwaukee - you guys have so many cool "Bluesmen" come to your area! But on the other hand ...... the snow.... big_smile.
But you can at least give me a preview of what I can expect in April ... and guess who I´m gonna see in March - JOE! tongue
There you go ...

Eric rocks!  Eva

Re: Eric Sardinas & Big Motor!!!

I can already tell you what you're going to see in April....probably one of the most energetic shows you'll ever see. He gets up there and just goes 100 mph every song. And he also likes to go down into the crowd and run around, not walk like Buddy Guy does. Play slide with a beer bottle, stuff like that. Just pure energy.

Re: Eric Sardinas & Big Motor!!!

Eric is the real deal.  Have seen him twice and will not miss him if he comes to Charlotte.  First time we saw him, he opened for Stevie Vai and was very impressive.  Got to hang with him before the show and just a really cool guy.

Music is good for the Soul...

Re: Eric Sardinas & Big Motor!!!

Have seen Eric several times, first few opening for Vai and a slot at the Tampa Bay Blues Festival in March '05......to say he puts on an energetic performance is understating it slightly.....Imagine dobro played through a Marshall amp at breakneck speeds....he can sing too.  And, not that I know about this stuff, but my GF thinks he's a hunk.  Genuinely nice guy....met him and he signed some things after shows....really seems down-to-earth.   Will definitely catch him this spring when he blows through PA.

Re: Eric Sardinas & Big Motor!!!

saw these guys Fri night in Houston...pretty good 3-piece power blues with a unique guitar twist
high energy - yes
good singing - not so much
worth seeing - sure

Re: Eric Sardinas & Big Motor!!!

Eric's about as close to modern hard rock as the blues can get without being called blues. A lot of my metal head friends like him. He screams a lot, especially on Black Pearls.

Free download? I don't agree with that. I think we should support good music. Just my opinion though bro. No offense meant.

Re: Eric Sardinas & Big Motor!!!

Well, after getting the cd a while back, I've finally had the time to listen to it (school's been kicking my butt). Man this is a great disc. Top to bottom just blistering blues and southern rock. And on As The Crow Flies, a nice little Indian styled intro. Man this guy's amazing.

Re: Eric Sardinas & Big Motor!!!

Just talked with Eric a few days ago for an upcoming interview, which will be up on my site as soon as I can get it transcribed. We talked a lot about the new album, and a lot of other subjects. Great album, great talent and an all around nice person. I'll be posting a link just as soon as it's ready so stay tuned...Definitely pick this one up, it's one of the best of the year.

Re: Eric Sardinas & Big Motor!!!

Thanks for the info on the new album, sounds like a must have. I've got his other three albums. Saw him at the blues festival in Colne, Lancashire a few years ago. What a riveting performer, apart from his obvious good looks! He set light to his guitar (not for the first time by the looks of it) and jumped off the stage to play amongst the crowd too.
I met him after the show and he signed the poster which I got hubby to take from the wall. What a polite and friendly guy he is. Hope he comes back again soon, definitely a great live show.
