From todays issue

With record voting in both categories this year, you selected Joe Bonamassa as BluesWax Blues Artist of the Year 2007. With a record number of first place votes Bonamassa adds the 2007 award to his BluesWax Artist of the Year 2004 and 2005 and his Album of the Year 2004 for his stellar Had To Cry Today. Bonamassa's win this year earns him the distinction as the artist with the most Artist of the Year wins with three and ties Tommy Castro for the artist with the most BluesWax awards total with four! We were trying to catch up with Joe, who is touring the U.K. right now, but at press time he was on stage playing. I'm sure we'll hear from him very soon and you will be able to find that on our NEWS page.



Congratulations to Joe Bonamassa we wish you all the best in 2008!

As it should be. There are lots of wonderful bluesmen and women pouring out their souls night after night, often in less than glamorous settings. They all should get some kind of award for carry the torch. But, IMHO, no one carries the flame like Joe does--passion, vision, boldness, and class. He is honoring the traditions by doing just what the legends before him did. He sat at the feet of those who went before him and then got up and walked his own path.

Keep on truckin' Joe. The world knows what you're doing, and they're diggin' it big time.

Gr8 news!  Congrats Joe!!!  As all your fans know, this is already a given, but it's great to see that more & more new fans are being made every day.  Keep up the great work.  Can't wait for the (double???) live CD!  There's nothing like JoeB live!  Should guarantee an Artist AND Album of the Year for 2008 (not to mention a whole new crop of fans).
