Topic: all along the watchtower

the neil young version.  anyhow i just heard for the first time and it is good.  young really makes it his own.  i love young and so many good versions have been done.  eddie vedder recently also recorded it really good.  of course the main two need not even be mentioned they are so obvious.  it is a tie between young and hendrix for me.

anyway, it hink it is apprpriate to post here as joe makes covers  his own, so have many others done with this.

this is the neil  young version i only just heard it i think you should to

Re: all along the watchtower

hi suhl -  that is great footage of Neil, very passionate.  I am a HUGE Neil fan!  I missed him in December when he  came to Philly, the show sold old in less than a minute!!  I also like how Dave Mason covers Watchtower although Dave isn't really trying to change it up much I think because he played on the Hendrix's version.  Bob Dylan is one of the most incredible songwriters, IMO!

That's a pretty wild version. Neil Young has that instantly recognizable sound.

Technique doesn't come into it. I deal with emotions.
