Re: Sean Chambers

Strong temptation rocks,    As some of you know I've been ripping all my music to an external drive. Found a few more gems I'd forgot about. Danny Bryants red eye band, Covering their tracks is killer, Matt Schofield, Sifting thru the ashes and Lucky Peterson, Double dealin.   Highly recommend them all.

Take care everyone. And if I don't meet you no more in this world
Then ill, I'll meet you in the next one and don't be late, don't be late

Re: Sean Chambers

Double dealing is good.  I have that.

Re: Sean Chambers

I wasn't at all familiar with Sean Chambers until I saw him Saturday night in St. Pete, FL.   We had been at the Tampa Bay Blues Festival all day and thought I had heard all the good live music I was going to hear for the day.  After the festival, we pulled into the Ring Side Cafe for a bite to eat and discovered Sean Chambers was playing there.  Wow!  This guy was as good as anything I had heard all day.  IMO, better than most.  I'm a fan NOW!!!   I plan to see him again when he plays Orlando in May.

Looked into Strong Temptation and the songs you recommended and couldn't agree more.  The solo on "Dixie 45" is sick.

In truth, I'd never heard of Albert when you originally wrote that, but I've been a fan since seeing him in Hagerstown with Cathy and Bob last May.

There's not much Sean Chambers on youtube. I'd be grateful if anyone could post a link to any of the numbers mentioned here.

Re: Sean Chambers

Sean Chambers....great player. Got both those cds and saw him at the Maryport festival in Cumbria a few years ago. Don't think he's played here since but I would definitely go to see him again.

I downloaded the "Strong Temptation" album from itunes today and I've been thru it a couple of times.  I like this guy alot.  Love this whole record.  I remember he played "Mean Town Blues" but I wasn't familiar with his music, so I don't know the names of the songs he played.  The crowd seemed to love him.  Much applause.  Looking forward to seeing him again for sure.

Re: Sean Chambers

Seen Sean several times at Darwins in Marietta, GA.
Great player.
Great guy.
And he will be wrapping up work on new cd soon.

Re: Sean Chambers

I've had 'Strong Temptation' for about 10 years and love it. I kept looking for something else in these intervening years but nothing was forthcoming and Sean has just dropped off my radar. Never knew he had a second CD so now I'm on a mission.

Why the long sabbatical?

Re: Sean Chambers

Wow, what have I been missing?  I'm driving home today and I hear "In The Wintertime" on Sirius Blues.  Immediately ordered the CD "Ten Til Midnight" when I got home
