Re: The Dark Knight...

Looks good. Loved Batman Begins. Was the movie finished when Ledger died?

Re: The Dark Knight...

Yes, it was, although now there was an article out that said that the voice-overs had not been finished, and that someone would have to do Heath's parts. But on batman-on-film.com , the guy who runs that site has many sources tied to the movie, and says it's complete bs. So I'll go with yes, it's done.

Re: The Dark Knight...

It will be good, I believe.

I just hope someday they adapt Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns storyline.....best Batman comic.....ever by one of the best comic authors.....ever, IMO.

Re: The Dark Knight...

They're apparently taking this movie from a lot of different comics, from what I've understood. Some parts of it are from Year One, some are from The Dark Knight Returns, some are from other adaptations. But overall, the main thing is that Christopher Nolan's goal is to make this as realistic as possible. That's why Heath Ledger looks like he does. Unless the craptacular Batman & Robin, might as well have been a cartoon.

YOU DO NOT PUT NIPPLES ON THE BATSUIT!!!!!!! EVER!!!!

I just want to see an old greyed Batman kick the crap out of Superman prove to everyone that he still has the best superpower:  lots and lots of money.  Plus, I've always preferred Batman over Superman.

Of course then again, I've always been more into Marvel and Image comics than DC Universe comics....

I really like the darker vibed Batman movies (Tim Burton's, these newer ones).  The others just seemed to leave something to be desired...to put it lightly.

No kidding.  And you know, if they would have put those on Batgirl's costume, it would have turned into an R rated movie quicker than you could say "Holy mammary glands, Batman!"

Re: The Dark Knight...

I'm anxious to see this, for different reasons than most. Most (if not all) of this was shot in Chicago. In fact, they filmed for a couple of weeks right outside the building I work in, across from the old abandoned post office building. They did a helicoptor chase scene down Van Buren Street which is supposed to be spectacular. The there were scenes near the Board of Trade that they were filming one day while I walked by...I don't think film was actually rolling at that time.
But what was really cool happened when I had to visit a future construction site as part of my work. It turns out that the production company was temporarily housed there...it was cool enough seeing the crew at work, lots of pic's and stuff. Then I went into the back area and there in the loading dock was the Batmobile and the Batcycle. I was right next to them, wishing I had a camera with me!

As you might expect "dknight16" loves Batman.  I can't wait for the movie, and thank God Christopher Nolan rescued a damaged property.
