No kidding, remember the day we met in Lake Tahoe in our shorts and t-shirts with about 8 inches of snow that fell on Memorial weekend. Strange days indeed.

Hey, from one dawg to another. You can always come down I5 and cut over to 166 through cuyama. It's a beautiful drive but a good distance out of your way. You can then go down 101 through Ventura and Santa Barbara and at one point or another cut back to the 405. If I5 is closed, don't try 58 through the Tehachapi mountains, because if I5 is closed, it's gonna be closed as well.

Hey Rod...do you have any idea how much longer that adds to our ride ...times wise that is...were really hopng for this bad weather to clear up....were not worried about the ride home...hell well take hwy 1 home if we have to...and thats one loooong drive....but we want to get there a few hours before the show starts

Here's an idea. We could all sit on Smokin' Joe the horse, take a picture and have Joe sign it with something to the effect, "I carry my fans wherever I go! Joe Bonamassa 2008". We'd have to make multiple copies so we could each have one. That poor horse! Especially with J Dawg's big butt resting on him!

Roy...yer scarying me...YOU DONT MEEN ALL US ON THE HORSE AT THE SAME TIME!....I'm very secure about my manhood...but, I'm nervous about this idea bubba....tell you what...I'll take the picture...my back is killing me...the doctor specifically told me to "stay off a horse"...hey REALLY! he said that to me..;)

The time on 166 from I5 to the 101 is about an hour and 45 minutes. Time from there to Ventura is about 75 minutes. If you go 166, don't get disappointed with it only being a two lane road. Enjoy the views and dont speed thru Cuyama as the cops love to give tickets through there. I drive 166 all the time to go to Pismo Beach.
I would plan for a three hour delay if you go that route.
Anyone have reservations at the Monte Carlo? It was on fire last time I looked at CNN...
Last I heard it's supposed to clear Thur. with temps in the upper 60's in LA, the big IF is getting there from here. Like we said yesterday let's see how things look by Tue. then it's your call Shred Man.

when i was listening to the mark and brian show today they said the road opened, i think, at least for a while, but More Storms Comin....
They opened the road to get the people who were stranded up there out and then shut it down again. Saw video on the local news this AM. This latest storm came up from the south with warmer temps., that could help. We need a good pineapple express to melt things.

Was checking the Weather Channel and they opened up I-5 over the pass this afternoon. There's more coming all weekend, but a little more positivity might help. It all hinges on the temp. rising about 10 degrees and even if it snows it won't stick. It's been sh*tten kittens all over the Bay Area since noon. We've had so much rain lately that the ground is saturated and now flooding is the big problem.

Robben is the headliner in Santa Ana. He will set the house camera policy. He is very cameraphobic. He is very old school when it comes to taping and photography. If you are going to tape or shoot I would go in stealth mode. If you manage to get some footage Roy put it on Youtube.
Oh boy, if the weather's that bad how is our plane going to land? I expected possible
weather problems in Green Bay or Minneapolis but not Calif ! We only have 2 1/2 days
there to begin with - any delay time and we might as well stay home too. Crap.

Uh oh...I got a great jet setting buddy...says he might fly me down to the show...i cant take no hand outs...we'll see...dudes napping right now...he absolutely loves Joes music...pulled up to his house the other day...what does he have on his stereo you could hear a block away..."ANDY LIVE"...love that song...dont we all?...give me a few hours...could still be going!
