Re: New tour...new set list

You Upset Me Baby, Burning Hell, Reconsider Baby, The River, Pain and Sorrow, Faux Mantini.  Anything I haven't heard for awhile would thrill me!
And of course Woke Up Dreaming.   This is my cousin's first Joe show - we have a
newcomer here guys !

Re: New tour...new set list

Roy - you have never heard Joe do Hendrix's "SPANISH CASTLE MAJIC" - he opened
with that the first time Jeff saw him at Shank - OMG - you have never seen Jeff so
excited.  I'm sure Joe will never do this song again but all I can say is OMG !!!

Re: New tour...new set list

dirt in my pocket
reconsider baby
pain and sorrow
black night
long distance blues
tea for one
when she dances
river
tea for one

also the very last song on so it's like that.  i cant remember the name but it is something id love to hear live.

the only thing id leave on the current setlist is so many roads and woke up dreaming.  i have nothing against the last setlist but it has been beaten and beaten you know for a long time now.

I DON'T BELIEVE

Re: New tour...new set list

I agree with most of the songs above but one more I would include would be Heartaches Were Nickels, that is the song that won me over many years ago.  Still gives me goosebumps when I hear it.

Re: New tour...new set list

Such great choices from everyone but here's my (nearly) ideal setlist

My Mistake
Walk in my shadows
Dirt in my pocket
I Don't Believe
You Upset me Baby
So It's Like That
The River
Your Funeral My Trial (yeh, with LD Miller wouldn't that be amazing?)
Sloe Gin
Mountain time
Blue Tea (Tea for One/Blues Deluxe)

This is like being in a sweet shop but with only a few pennies to spend.  So much to choose from but <sigh> can't have everything I want.  To be honest as long as I see Joe Bonamassa play live he can play anything at all and I'd love it.

Hey Capt, welcome back to the forum!!!  Joe on his last tour did play Heartaches, but it was the acoustic version.  Definately a different take to the song versus the black strat days.  But still nice to see in the setlist!

Music is good for the Soul...

Re: New tour...new set list

Thanks David, would love to hear the acoustic version.  The Black strat definately did rock!

Re: New tour...new set list

I would love to hear all the 2nd guitar tracks from the "Sloe Gin" cd..They're the ones that floor me..Just make a song titled "DUBS", put them in and I'll have a big smile!  Cathy

Re: New tour...new set list

If I could pick one song to include in the setlist it would be Reconsider Baby.
I heard Joe do this live a few times, but it seemed to be on the setlist for a very short time and then disappeared.
I'm guessing that the new setlist will be similar to what Joe's been playing, probably a few substitutions here and there.

I agree Bill in that the setlist will be probably similar to previous shows.  Seems that minor changes are made from year to year esp. with the introduction of a new album.

Love to see Black Night introduced.

Re: New tour...new set list

Wait... am I the only one who would like "I know where I belong" added to the set list??

I will give a second to that song. Actually, anything they put out on the stage will be excellent. I would inagine that if Joe did bring back some of the older favorites they might be a newer version of the older classic. I am just anxiously sitting here waiting for some U.S. spring/summer tour dates! smile
