Topic: Ana Popovic playing Big Bull Falls Music Festival!

I could be wrong, but I believe the closest Ana has gotten to Wisconsin is Chicago and I've never been able to see her play.  I am so excited she is playing here.  I wouldn't miss it!

Hi Fretwork,

We saw Ana twice in 2007 - once in July and then in September - both times in Minneapolis. First saw her in '06 in Duluth.

When we saw her in July, it was just her and her bass player. On their way to Minneapolis, her drummer had to return to Chicago for a family emergency (I think their was a death in his family) accompanied by her keyboard player. Not knowing what to do at first, she decided to go ahead with the show and played a full 2 sets. She announced during that show that she would make room in her schedule for a "make-up" show with her full band on the next leg of her U.S. tour in September. She is a real class act and a great performer. Definitely catch her if you can.

BTW - her latest record, "Still Making History" is excellent! Also, I read somewhere that she was getting a new Gigliotti.

HI Fret - Thanks for the info - I will mark that date on the calander - we saw Joe play
there a few years ago.  Any word on who else is playing this year?  Would love to see

Roy - if we meet Ana on the street you can have the honors this time - actually I have
no idea who she is so '"go for it Roy!"   I will have to wait and see who else in playing.
Just saw that Candye Kane is also playing - she's a hoot if you've never seen her -
very funny.

Someone else that might be there is Tallan.  I got a call today from the booking agent for the fest and he asked me if Tallan would be interested in being part of the fest.  If everything works out he'll be playing on Friday with Reverend Raven and the Chain Smokin Alterboys.  Great band from Milwuakee and Tallan loves playing with the Rev and the boys.

The festival will be a GREAT show this year with or without T-Man.  Would naturally be better with him, IMHO.

There are a couple of big fests and fairs that have expressed interest in having Tallan either sit in with a band or have his band T-Man's Blues Project play.  Will know more shortly as we're always booking more shows every week.
