Love it!
The new CD is great. Phil has taken his singing up a notch too. If you like heavy stuff, check out Down III: Over The Under
i love down. i am very surprised to see them mentioned here. they are one of my all time favorite bands. the new cd is good so is nola, but for my money down 2 is the best hard rock cd made in the last 20 years and deserves to be mentioned with the best ever. phil is one of the most amazing vocal talents i have ever heard. i can't say enough good about them.
seeing them live in a few weeks.
Ouch...calling that easy listening is like calling Robocop a sensitive drama.
Love that facetious slant. good.
Much Love
Jeff
down has some bluesier tunes as well.

Don't mean to hijack the thread, but speaking of bluesy heavy music. I've always loved Corrosion of Conformity...maybe not bluesy, maybe better described as heavy groove music.
hey suhl,
In case you didn't know, in one of Joe's many interviews, Joe mentions really liking Down with a big emphasis. This is the only band he mentioned in that interview when the interviewer asked him about 'newer' bands...

I should add however, the way he disrespected Dimebag was unforgivable. I'll enjoy his music for now, but I hope he gets what's coming to him someday.
please don't even start with that bs. bands fight all the time and that was all pre death. obviously the man regrets certain things he said. honestly if you think a fight amongst band members is unforgiveable i don't know what world you are living in but i suggest you find religion, cause almost nothing iin this world is unforgiveable least of all some petty words in a magazine. give me a break.

Yes! Remember Albatross by them?

No break for you. It has nothing to do with Dime's death. Disrespect & disloyalty to family and friends is low, but doing it in public is unforgivable. No one made Phil act out in public and in print. He chose to do it for apparently selfish reasons. He doesn't get to hide behind heroin and crocodile tears. It is what it is.

I think it is System of a Down Joe was refering to. Same band?
Jim-System of a Down is who I was thinking of, but after a google look, Down is a different band. I think I heard someone refer to System... as Down before, so I assumed here.

I just did a little research, and I didn't know that the lead singer and guitarist in COC is also the guitarist for Down (Pepper Keenan).
