I reckon Slash is thinking..."I wish I was as talented as this guy. I've always hated playing Sweet Child Of Mine. I really lurv the blues!!!!"
I guess Joe has been officially welcomed to the the jungle...cool.

Hey Angela....you're almost BONAMETAL!!!!
Just saw that picture myself...very cool. I'd love to know if they got to chat.
THOSE ARE IMPOSTERS!
know how I can tell?
Joe isn't in tinted glasses, and Slash doesn't have a cigarette!
~lol nice pic
I'd introduce Slash to my parents. My mom would expect he's a heavy boozer, but wouldn't yell at him unless he was drinking out of the 'family' bottle. My dad would try sparking a conversation about harley davidson. Neither would expect him to be a role model! But if I had him over, they'd be cool to him.
Who care about appearance, that is a picture of two great guitar players!!!!
I am more interested in if they had much of a conversation and what was said.
They each learn from each other. I used to think Joe was the king of that making
that violin sound come from his electric guitar, but I saw and talked with Walter Trout,
who was awesome at the violin sound. He told me that he learned from Roy Buchanan.
Who has passed away since, I have a few of his recordings, he was amazing on guitar.
I want to know if Joe learned anything from Slash, or vice versa.
Bluesman Roy blather? Nooooo.
Jane grumpy? Noooo.
Big Jeff grumble? Nooooo.
HAHAHAHAHAHAH...
That photograph makes me want to hear a "Mountain Time/Sweet Child Of Mine" medley.
slash is a good guy and great guitarist. i don't get this. he was in a big time hard rock band in the 80's yes he did drugs and drank and all the time and slept with many different women that just about came with the territory. he has grown out of that now for petes sake.
It is astonishing some of these bands like Stevie and Guns N' Roses were as good as they were when they absolutely high out of their minds. That is actually a compliment, I could not even play like they were high when I'm sober, so I can't imagine what I'd sound like high.
Sometimes it's the reformed drug addicts are the biggest heroes and role models you can have, because they've been there, done that, and they know what not to do. You can bet your butt that Stevie Ray has influenced my decision to not drink or drug. I've heard Slash in interviews, and he's actually a very articulate, smart, nice guy. Appearances can be deceiving I guess.
That being said, Joe is a great role model for how to handle your business in a very professional manner from the get-go. Cool beans with me either way.
I thought that the 'horns' related to the ROCK!!!! I didn't see any harm in the comment. Slash is a great guitar icon to so many kids and probably adults too. For all I know Slash is a healthy living bloke....and if he isn't that's his business. Due respect.
As i am not on the forum every day i guess i missed this. Thanks Jane H for keeping your messages on the board. All i can say is i am glad my mom doesnt know everything that i have done in my life.People do change . I loved GNR back in the days and still DIG there songs. It sure looks like Joe is having the time of his life having Slash next to him and to have him on his MY SPACE FRONT PAGE. That is so COOL. What a GREAT YEAR this is for J B.
JON
I didnt read all these post on the thread...but I was shocked to see that Slash was so short...Joes about 5 feet 10...whats Slash?....dont meen squat when you can play like that!....gonna have to pull up some GNR...I know we have it some where in the library on this computer..once in awhile my kids surprise me with what they put on here.
Dave
Always liked that run Slash does on the guitar on Paradise City. G n' R has some great songs you don't hear much too like Rocket Queen and Locomotive.
I was talkin' with Jimi Dunlop the other day and he mentioned that Slash will be makin' the rounds at the NAMM show this year so it's likely he and Joe may cross paths again. Hopefully they might be playin' guitars when they do and somebody might get it on youtube.
Think Green,
