Re: Bonnie Raitt (again)

Thank you, Angela, the goodies arrived today!

I will offer my considered opinion once I've had several listens. Do you know when the cd with no details was recorded?

Thanks again, this made my day!

Re: Bonnie Raitt (again)

Glad it arrived.  They are both from around the same time.  The 1971 one is an official boot recognized on itunes etc. that's how I got that print out for the CD case.  The other, I believe is 1972.  Both courtesy of Jane H. initially smile

Re: Bonnie Raitt (again)

Thank you SO MUCH for the link.  Seeing the 3 of them together is heaven.  I've recently begun to listen to my old Little Feat recordings (now on cd, thank goodness) and they are as good as when I first heard them.  I was lucky to be in the DC area where they were very popular (as were Bonnie and Emmylou).

Here are a couple of links a friend sent me, to a very bizarre tv clip with a very young Lowell George.

Enjoy!

Thanks to Angela, gsj and Dawg for the wonderful and interesting input on my main lady! Certainly, one of the reasons I love Bonnie so much is because of the Lowell George connection. Up until Lowell's untimely death, the Feat were my main band, even ahead of the Dead!!!

If someone can point me at a site that hosts music files, I will gladly upload a couple of gems I have of Bonnie with the Feat.

Rock on! cool

P.S. Angela, my anticipation is slowly building to fever pitch!

Encore - Lowell, Bonnie and Emmylou - makes me literally go weak in the knees.

Re: Bonnie Raitt (again)

Hi Annnann, and welcome!

I've just discovered that a number of the links previously posted here have now been removed. I guess we'll have to search harder.

As it happens, we have a small Little Feat topic here too!

Re: Bonnie Raitt (again)

We have another Bonnie admirer in our midst. big_smile

Joe told me a lovely anecdote about sitting at the same table as Bonnie during the Grammys (I think) - she didn't know who he was, but was just as open and friendly towards him as he was towards me tonight. He thinks she's a very fine lady. big_smile cool

It's pretty much all good, but one of her albums actually ranks on my list of all-time favorite albums, and that's The Bonnie Raitt Collection... highly recommended. wink

Re: Bonnie Raitt (again)

Stevea- If you can swing both, take Vicki's suggestion and then get the live DVD Road Tested, which also comes in a CD.  If you prefer live and can only purchase one, Road Tested would be my suggestion, although you can't go wrong with either. wink

It's been a long time since I've listened to Road Tested (I always reach for Collection out of habit because I love it so much, lol), but I do remember it being pretty great, and I've seen lots of people list it as a favorite, and I even thought about mentioning it and didn't.  Come to think of it, I believe I'll get that one out then!  wink
