Topic: Where's my thread?

I posted a topic here last night that contained a hilarious video of a college referee making a call on a personal foul during the NC State/Maryland game this year, where he said, "Personal foul, 69, offense, he was giving him the business." One of the funniest things I've seen happen regarding sports. I'm pretty sure I put it in off topics, but when I went to search for it I can't find it. Even used the search link. Pray tell, where is it now? I've looked everywhere and can't find it? Am I losing my mind?

No Deezer...Seems the "Grinch That Stole Posts" was here last night...very odd! Don't think any of it was on purpose...   Cathy        Edit...Any others missing?

Re: Where's my thread?

Welcome to the club. I've reported the issue but have not yet had any feedback as to how a number of posts and whole topics managed to vanish into cyberspace.

I questioned my sanity at first too. big_smile

Re: Where's my thread?

Hey, A couple that I posted are also missing.  I didn't think I had offended anyone or posted anything that was inappropriate.   Hmmm.....

Re: Where's my thread?

Hey Deezer, that refs quote got noticed by sportstalk radio here in SF. What the ref was doing was quoting the great John Madden who made that original, "givin' him the business" saying years ago on Monday Night Football. The quote refers to one guy gettin' a few dirty licks in during the end of a play in the pile-up. Another famous Madden quote that's the title of a book he wrote is, "One knee equals three feet", referring to his frustration with the way some refs would spot the ball against the Raiders when he was still coaching.

Re: Where's my thread?

I don't know about the Madden quote, but there was an NFL referee back in the late 1980s who also said the same thing. You can find that on YouTube as well.

One thing I thought was interesting was that ref was the head official for the Cotton Bowl when the Hogs just got their buttocks whipped all over the field by Mizzou. sad

Re: Where's my thread?

I've had some other inquiries about missing posts from last night.

There are only a handful of people that can delete a bunch of stuff like that and I've inquired with most of them already. Don't know what happened.

You guys know who the mods are, and are welcome to email us inquiries at any time. We'll answer them as fast as we can.
