now THAT would be cool. The JB Edition Gold Top.
Hey Joe,
With all this great Bonamassa news, I feel like a kid in a candy shop...I'm So Excited, I Just Can't Hide It!!! I was just reading a 2 year old interview with Les Paul and he mentions how he looks forward to his gigs in New York "like it's an ice cream cone for a little kid." One of my goals this year is to get to NY to see him perform. He is just such a remarkable man....The first guitarist who made him say Holy Cow was Eddie Lang, then a turning point was hearing Django, who just happen to show up one day unannounced with an interpreter as a surprise and they jammed to "Night and Day". Through determination, Les Paul has even found a way to play around his arthritis in his fingers. You probably know all this already, but my conclusion...guitar music is the answer to the fountain of youth, since we are all feeling like kids with excitement!! Your career even reminds me of one of my kids favorite Disney books when they were little...Goofy's Big Race, it had a catch phrase they use to repeat, Slow and Steady, Steady and Slow...Goofy does things his own way with a positive outcome against some odds...
Congratulations Joe, what a honor this is, its really spectacular and couldn't happen to a nicer guy! Keep us posted if Gibson has an unveiling of the Joe Bonamassa Gibson Les Paul that fans can attend.
Joe, I remember you saying in the chatroom before Christmas that this trip was due. Well deserved my friend. Get one for me too while you're there

I'm not a gambler, but if those were the odds I would bet big money!
Yeah man, they just don't be handing those out to anyone. Congrats. I love Les Paul.
Like how he had his broken arm set after the car accident. Creative thinker too.

Joe when and where did you acquire the Murphy?
Was it ever present in a John Norum photo shoot/video before you bought it?
Cheers and have fun!!!

Just prior to the holidays I was looking at some LP's. I was very interested in two of them and was planning a return to the shop for a more serious inquiry.
I think I best wait.......Better things coming!

Wow, this must be fate or something. I just got back from the local guitar store and found me my first guitar and I ran home to get the money for it, and lo and behold, Joe's getting his new guitar too.
Congrats Joe. You definately deserve it.
