Re: New Years Eve with Tommy

Love Tommy Castro - can't image anyone bashing him - he is such a friendly guy and
his music is yes - get up and dance - should appeal to everyone.  I met him backstage
a few years back and he talked, signed everything I had and gave me a guitar pick.

Re: New Years Eve with Tommy

bluezman-have a GREAT time, sounds like fun & a fabulous way to bring in the New Year!

Bonamassa fans turned me on to Tommy, 1st CD I bought was Painkiller, then went backwards in the catalog!  I haven't seen him live yet, he seems to favor warmer climates. Tommy plays some good tunes for the old fashion twist smile, definitely get up and dance music!...Painkiller's a great album, love I'm Not Broken...

Thanks for saying that, G.  All my so called blues buddies say that he's just playing that SOS, rehashed R&B, nothing to it.  You're right I say, lets do one of his tunes.  You pick...after ten minutes of ear figuring...unh I don't know how he does that.

They say the same thing about Albert Collins. lol  real simple.  He's got a niche.

Carlos once said that the blues are in good hands with Tommy Castro.  I think they met before John Lee passed away.

My 2 cents.

I became a fan when I read about him in "CD Review"..Loved the 1st CD..cooled to the 2nd one...saw him live and was back for good. He is also a big part of the Blues Cruise. He and his band are favorites for the shows and the attitude...Bluzeman...New Years eve with a hometown crowd..Sounds like a blast to me!               Cathy
