Topic: Christmas

So if u make a Christmas Cd, what songs would you make your own and put on your Cd? i would appreciate a response. TY!

Re: Christmas

If I were to write MY own Xmas songs, I'd be very rock/blues oriented of course. If I were to include covers, I'd do the classic Jingle Bell Rock-type tunes and a Xmas version of New Day Yesterday, High Time We Went and Good Morning Little Schoolgirl.

Re: Christmas

Fingerstyle arrangement - O Holy Night
Slide - Silent Night in "Drop D"
Cannon in D with another guitarist playing volume swells on the bass part or like Joe does on "Junction 61" (that would sound so sweet)
Blues/Rock arrangement of Santa Baby

Edited to add:

Happy X-mas (War is over) John Lennon, Yoko Ono (my mama's favorite)
Tonight is Christmas - Alabama - simply beautiful lyrics

"There is nothing to it.  You only have to hit the right notes at the right time and the instrument plays itself."---Johann Sebastian Bach

Re: Christmas

My wife heard a blues style Christmas song on XM a few weeks ago.
She liked it so much, she actually looked up the artist (Charles Brown) and purchased the cd from itunes. I don't know the name of the CD, but it is quite good, as Christmas music goes.

"Rock ON & Keep the Faith"

Re: Christmas

All would do well to Study Charles Brown.  Ask Bonnie Raitt.

Rock On & Keep the FAITH
             It is
Blues From the Bottoms
