Re: 100 thoughts on Joe

19. My first and only guitar teacher...Dennis Shepherd, opened up for Bloodline. I had no idea who Bloodline was at the time. Right now I think Dennis is a rep for Hughes & Kettner and the guitar tech for the guitar player in RUSH. Sorry I can't drop the name ... not really a Rush fan. I wish I would've wanted to learn more than AC DC and Kiss tunes. sad

other Dennis facts:
Dennis has won numerous awards for his playing, and in
1995 had the unique opportunity of lending his fiery
guitar work to a concert with Victor Wooten of Bela
Fleck and Steve Bailey of Larry Carlton's band for
their Bass Extremes concerts. Dennis has also
performed on stage with the likes of Chicago Blues
legend Pinetop Perkins and his band, Texas Blues
Virtuoso Chris Duarte, and Greg Koch and the Tone
Controls. He has been in various bands over the years
and has opened for Cheap Trick, Ian Moore, BLOODLINE,
Alan Parsons, Kansas, Molly Hatchet, Foreigner and
other cheese.

20. I had XM in my car for a while.  I always wanted Sirius... for the blues channel and NFL.  Bluesville on XM was good though.

22. I once heard a song on Bluesville that I thought was going to be on Sloe Gin. It was Mumblin Word.  I posted it here and was told it was on Blues Deluxe.  Am I NOT a FAN?  Yes, yes- but let me explain.

My copy of BD was from iTunes and they didn't have Mumblin Word on it! I got ripped off!
how embarrassing

Re: 100 thoughts on Joe

28. It is great to see Joe is an amp freak. You can only play one guitar at a time. How many amps can you play through at once?  I smell an experiment!

its hard to get into the habit of getting into amps when guitars are so close to you. hmmm $2000 on a new guitar or a new amp?  most lean towards guitar.  more people go ga-ga over guitars than amps.

31. The live DVD is great. I borrowed it to friends. If they are not interested. I fast forward to the the two-part harmony guitar/bass solo in Takin A Hit.  I at least want to get a "whoh" out of them.

36. Allowing live taping at shows is a concrete way of spreading the music and the name of Joe Bonamassa. You cannot hear enough, and no two shows are the same.
