I don't care if Andrew was asking our help get Joe an opening slot for the Bay City Rollers. I suspect he (and WMA) knows more about this biz (and what's good for one of their artists) than the rest of us combined. It's a no-brainer and I'm surprised it's created 4 pages of discussion...well, scratch that. When I think about it I'm not surprised. I remember when I was pushing the Street Team "Tell Rolling Stone about Joe" thing. We ended up with a massive thread about how Rolling Stone was lame and irrevelant, and then wondered why we never got any attention from them.
This is one of the the first places DM's people are going to visit if we are successful in getting their attention. I think we should keep that in mind as we share our opinions here...? Just a thought
You hit the nail on the head, Stu. It's pretty hard to see how someone will do you a favor if you (or your friends and fans) are peeing in his breakfast cereal.

Stu with this thought in mind and at the urging of a few other forum members we will clean up a few posts and let this ride for awhile. I never thought the discussion would be so diverse and at times negative. I regret not posting the call for action in the same format as the Street Team post. I'm sure that is why somepeople vocalized their true sentiments to the possibility of Joe touring with DMB. I personally just want to see Joe gain all the exposure he can. This is just one of many ways.
A lot of stars would have to align for this to even happen. Having been contacted to get the word out I was just doing what was requested.

I've got no beef with you, Jim. I just think it's good for forum members to be a little self-aware as to the effect their words posted on Joe's website can have in the greater world. Posting here isn't the same in that respect as posting on Craigslist or a personal blog. But then maybe that's just me.

jim, do you mean by cleaning up a few post that you are going to delete off coments from other members . if that's the case i don't think that's a good idea isn't that defeating the whole thing the forum is about . or maybe i should keep my mouth shut before i open a can of worms ....lol...joe

LETS SEE $80-$100 DAVE MATHEW TICKETS. 15,000-20,000 DAVE MATHEW FANS. NOSE BLEED SEATS. JOE ON STAGE FOR 30-40 MINUTES. (if that) OF COURSE I WANT HIM TO GET THE EXPOSURE BUT I DON'T THINK I'LL BE THERE!

Hmmm...for some reason I thought this thread was closed...muss be losin my mind...anyways 100 bones to see Joe play 40 minutes is cool with me...reason being, were going to be paying that when people realize how incredibly talented he is...besides I can get to the show early and hand out 20,000 JB cards...but I'm gonna need some help from you fine folks .....so hey, lets rocknroll baby!
Dave
I'd see it for sure. I dig Dave. Some of his stuff is crap, but he can write a song, and that band is tight. I think itd be awesome seeing them together. Especially if Joe jammed with DMB, thatd make me happy.
