Day One smile  - Happiness      Shepherd's Bush on I-Tunes

Day Two smile  - Happiness      Got copy of Guitar Edge with MEET THE NEW GUITAR HEROES
WITH JOE BONAMASSA ON THE COVER AND INTERVIEW ON
PAGE 21 AND WOKE UP DREAMING ON PAGES 64-67 smile  smile  smile

So I'm at Barnes & Noble paying for my magazine and the cashier, George, proceeds to hand the magazine over to my son commenting that he probably can't wait to get his hands on it.  So I said, "Wait a minute George, that magazine is for me."   Puzzled look from George and then I proceeded to tell him about Joe Bonamassa....magazine back out of the sack to show him who Joe is (irritated shoppers behind me, I'm sure) and he says and I quote,  "Tell Mr. Joe Bonamassa that George from Barnes & Noble says,  Congratulations Guitar Hero!"  Of course, I left the store beaming with pride.

And then I was happy at Best Buy as Joe was in front of Michael Bolton.  I didn't have to do any re-arranging of the alphabet.   cool

What Happiness can Day Three have in store?

The thought of Michael Bolton in front of Mr. Bonamassa makes me cringe! Patty, thank God you didn't need to correct an egregious error like that!

Best Buys have been stocking Joe to the gills lately where I've roamed.  Sloe to get on board, but they are responding very well now!

Re: GUITAR EDGE-MEET THE NEW GUITAR HEROES JAN/FEB 2008

Doesn't anyone want to know who the other 4 New Guitar Heros are???

John 5
Derek Trucks
Synester Gates
Brad Paisley

I think it's a good mix from all genres and has a short article for each guitarist. All monster players (with the possible exception of Gates-all speed no feel and horrible tinny tone).

Re: GUITAR EDGE-MEET THE NEW GUITAR HEROES JAN/FEB 2008

Thanks, Patty and Rocket, for the tip on Best Buy carrying Joe's music!  I had one of those mystery coupon things to use there (of course it turned out mine was only worth $5, lol, but at least it's something), so last night I went in specifically looking for Joe Bonamassa, and whadaya know, I found him... once again, right in front of Michael Bolton, lol!  They had 2 copies of You & Me and 1 copy of Had to Cry Today, both of which I needed, so I bought myself 2 nice little Christmas gifts... or actually I'm gonna give them to my husband, to give to my son, to give to me for Christmas, hehehe... I can hear myself now on Christmas morning... "Oh, wow, this is great!  Where did you find these?"  LOL  wink

I originally was looking for Sloe Gin, figuring it's the only one they'd have anyway, but it wasn't there.  So I went to the service desk and asked when they'd be getting more in, making sure to mention it was #1 on the blues charts for like 10 or 11 weeks... and it turns out it's on back order.  They said the Harrisburg store still has 3 copies (I was in the new Mechanicsburg store), but I don't feel like running the whole way over there, so I'll wait.  I also made sure to point out there was now only 1 Joe Bonamassa CD left on their shelf, and he has 7 CDs and 1 DVD, and they should order some of ALL of them... who knows if that will help, but hey I'm trying, lol.  smile

Update:  I went back to Best Buy again the day before Christmas... the good news is, that last Joe Bonamassa CD had been sold, yay... the bad new is, when I asked how long it would be til they get in more copies of Sloe Gin, the guy looked it up and told me they're no longer going to be carrying it, at least at that store.  This was immediately after he'd just got done telling me all about how they're trying to expand their blues section. hmm  He did point out that the new Mechanicsburg store is significantly smaller than the Harrisburg store, but he couldn't be bothered to look up any more of his CDs or DVDs at either store (granted, they were busy, being the day before Christmas and all).

Anyway, I think we should all contact our local Best Buys and request more Joe Bonamassa!  Actually, the same goes for ALL our local music stores, but Joe already seems to have his foot in the door at Best Buy... now we just have to let them know we want more than his foot and won't tolerate them slamming the door on him!  wink

I should point out, you can always purchase Joe Bonamassa from Best Buy online, at least as of now... currently they're offering 6 CDs and 1 DVD:
