The Dave Matthews camp is conducting a poll for possible support acts next year.
Would appreciate everyone taking a few seconds and vote for Joe Bonamassa.

Done.
Done...Although it would seem to me that Dave should open for Joe.... Skewed Cathy
Done did.
It would be unbelievable exposure for Joe. I've seen Dave 14 times in the past 12 years. He's had some good opening acts. That's how I got into David Gray.

Did So, and why not? Helluva tour that would be...Joe's Band or Dave's, both could rise to incredible heights on any given night! I'd have to venture there might, or at least I would certainly hope for there to, be a little cross-pollination taking place every now & then also between bands & their members...Cool!

ok voted but really didn't want to . dave sucks i can't stand him or his band and for me it would really suck seeing joe warm up for him . i would have to spend money for the shows and then i would be leaving after joes set . i really think joe should just play on his own or do a double bill thing where joe will be able to play a whole set of music not just 30 to 45 minutes . well that my two cents . joe stay on your own play your own shows and don't worry about warming up for anyone let people warm up for you ( dave couldn't hold your jock on your worst day ) .................joe

I understand you sentiments exactly. However, a few years ago the exposure Joe got when "opening" for Frampton brought a LOT of new fans into the fold.
Like him or not, Dave Mathews plays in front of huge crowds every year and it might take years of touring on his own to get Joe in front of that many new fans.
Andrew Lanoie (Joe's booking agent @ William Morris) is a good guy and friend/fan of Joe's. He works very closely with Joe/Roy to help the cause and grow Joe's business so he can book bigger shows in the future. Andrew wouldn't be asking for this if they didn't think it was something that would move the needle.
That being said, we'll do the same. Buy tickets - attend the show and leave after Joe's set. When Joe was on tour with Frampton we caught 5 of those shows in different cities and after that run we couldn't have picked Frampton out of a line up. We never saw him play a note.
Rock the vote!

Right On, Joe Beacon !
(I took out the quote on Dave's band as quite honestly I've never listened to his music, so can't say one way or the other.) I don't live under a rock, I just live in the "JoeCave"

Huge if Joe could do this. It did wonders for Robert Randolph. Not a big fan of Dave's recorded output, but I respect him immensely for how he's gone about his business and how he approaches his music. Plus, on top of it all, he is probably the best live show going and the only thing that can remotely approach the Dead Heads today. Joe would definitely have proved his salt if this gets done.
I've said this time and time again, Joe belongs on college radio and to the whole college scene up there. That's the best music thats out there now. Phish, Dave Matthews Band, even Ben Folds. Come on guys, lets attack these people with some Joe, it's about time Joe got the exposure he deserves. ATTACK!!!!!!!!!!
lol
My first thought is, does Joe want to open fo Dave Mathews?
