Topic: Hello, a question for both fans and or mods.

Hello, my name is Kristan Heneage, I live in the north of England in a place called Newcastle, now Joe will be coming to my city, in March and I would like to interview him for a feature/piece entitled "Rookie in an old mans game"  working on the concept, that Joe is a relativley young guy at 30, in a genre that normally attributes itself to slightly older men, i was wondering if anyone would be able to help me, in terms of who I contact, so if a moderator or member could help me i'd be appreciative.

P.s. for extra incentive, I was put onto Joe by my Father, a man who truly adores Joe and every piece of work he has put out, so I'm intending to surprise him with two tickets to the gig and the chance to meet him would further enhance it, while also providing me a great article to write.

Thank you all for your reading and your time.

Cheers.

I would frist off Join the Street Team then I would call  WMA Joe's Management or you could give the good people At JR a call ask for Rachael 561-994-2344 they should be able to see if Joe has time for that good luck

Right the problem I have is with the street team it's more dedicated to him, i'm not to be honest, i'm writing this feature and then that's it if you understand me, and as for that number, could I e-mail her as I don't fancy ringing America, as it could be costly haha!

Ciao.

Re: Hello, a question for both fans and or mods.

I don't quite get the premise of your article. What genre are you refering to? Joe plays great music and great music is performed by all age groups. If you are refering to his Blues roots, well all the great Blues artist from the begginings in the South to the British Blues movement in the 60's was all performed by young men and women. Robert Johnson was only 25 when he created the blueprint that inspired some of the greatest blues rock music of all time.
Joe is hardly a rookie at this game. He has been touring in some form or another for 18 years and has probably played more gigs then Led Zeppelin and Eric Claptin combined(although I am not sure on that stat, but you get my point.)  I am glad you are doing an article on Joe, I just was confused on the subject matter. Good luck with your article.

Re: Hello, a question for both fans and or mods.

I'm referring more to the blues centred style he has, and I understand you're point those people were young, but that's my point WERE, there are not a huge amount of talented blues singers who are young in the modern day an age, and Joe provides a refreshing take on it, he also mixes his styles, so I want to talk about how he merges styles.

And as for his experience, a good journalist does his research wink and I know he's a veteran on the circuit, but i'm talking in terms of literal age,  at 30 he's still a young guy.

That's it?! You want a ride to impress Poppy but don't care to further promote Joe? Tell me I am misunderstanding, please.  I can understand writing one article and being done with writing about him, but what's to be in the aftermath as far as your concern & commitment for Joe Bonamassa?! As far as Rookie, maybe you should consider Joe Bonamassa as MVP (Most Versatile Player)... wink   As in "MVP In A Field Of Dreams At A Ripe Young Age" wink cool

P.S.-The Street Team is painless and not elitist, you don't pay dues, you don't have to answer to anyone, but you can "take charge" or realistically, you just one way or another just Joe out & DO IT!...Your Dad already is a member, even if not yet registered as such!!!  And you are doing it also, albeit seems for yourself, your dad and readers/viewers (you didn't say where your feature piece will be featured "in" or "on")..you get this deal, there will be more than "that's it"...your Dad will draw you into our web!  Er, I mean under our wing......

Re: Hello, a question for both fans and or mods.

Sounds to me like someone just wants to impress his dad by getting him backstage to meet Joe and that the whole 'I want to write an article' is a smokescreen. As Rocket said, where is the article going to appear? I smell something fishy on a little dishy and I don't think that your boat is going to come in wink

I don't think it matters with how much Heneage cares about Joe,if her dads a big fan and wants to meet him, then thats all that matters .I give my Kudos for Heneage trying to go the extra mile for dad.

Well thanks Gary, preciate it, in fact GSJ is sort of right but sort of not. For my Journalism degree/Student Newspaper I had to write a piece that had been approved my lecturer, my Dad had told me how he was going to see Joe, so I did some research and managed to generate the angle which was approved, so partly yes my Dad does get to meet someone he greatly admires, but also it helps me get my degree, and appear in our paper. I can provide Student ID numbers if you wish tongue

Re: Hello, a question for both fans and or mods.

We can't help ourselves, we're all pretty protective of Joe, as you see, we love him dearly.

Either way, the interview request contact info has been passed and Joe/Joe's PR/Management will determine the intent and access that is granted.

Let's be nice.

Heneage..(You've been given the offical links.) Joe is fan friendly and would like to have more fans in your age group. It might be a good idea to read some of the interviews that are out there...lots of info about his influences, etc. Make sure you let us know how your show goes..be ready to be amazed!                                   Cathy

Yeah I'm sorry Kristan, you made it smell funny to me, but it's a rose in the end.... I do really like to squeeze information out of people!  That way everyone is on the up & up and it's all out in the open...My guess is this sounds more and more like it might be right up Joe's alley. He LOVES to teach you young people the News About Them Blues... If you get the interview, please make sure you got more than pen & paper and a recorder (don't forget them though)...and you promise you'll get some pictures of your Dad and Joe, OK? Maybe get someone to get all 3 of you.  Cathy is right, though she was born a long, long time ago, our Cathy should know, our Cathy should know!!! You will be amazed so you might want to be ready to ad lib the interview if it's post show and don't worry if you think you're glib and daft, we got people pop's age and beyond who've become flabbergasted trying to put things into words after seeing this guy and his mates rouse the house!!!  Without the interview you'll likely be happy....with it....well let's see but happy a very long time I'm sure smile Cheers, and good luck.
