Topic: Jason Ricci on the West Coast

Hey all, you may have heard me talk about the amazing Jason Ricci & New Blood (www.jasonricci.com or www.myspace.com/jasonricciandnewblood) but I just wanted to give a heads-up to my musicloving friends on the West Coast that Jason's playing a lot of gigs 'round your area and you should definitely check him out...it's a show for sure.  Sacramento at the Torch Club on Thursday, Crystal Bay Club Casino in NV Friday and Sat, Mt. wow if you only post this a day earlier i would have tried to make it to the S.F show I at least need a week ADV but he sounds good mybe I'll get brave and drive though the snow to that NV show I will let you know thanks for the hook up

Sorry, Bluezman...was just one of those things....struck me at the moment I did it....but no doubt he'll be back again soon.  Sean Starski is a very capable guitarist, though not Joe, but Jason is the show....the band is extremely tight though and quite talented in their own right.  I predict you won't be disappointed if you make the trek.

There are 11 or so better reasons to buy that CD than the fact that I am mentioned in the liner notes....you're gonna love it or I'll buy it from you, Cathy!  But I'm flattered, nonetheless.

Check the SacTown Blues News...J.R. at the Stage Door Mt. Shasta on Sunday..and I saw Roy Rogers at the Center for the Arts, Grass Valley Saturday...Shred sent it to me...So much good music out there!!!!                   Cathy

JDawg:  As referenced in another post...sometimes people have different fashion ideas than you but I assure you his musical talent is worth seeing.  I would be the first to admit that he is sometimes a bit strange-looking, but the band rocks and he is amazing, not to mention a very warm and down-to-earth person, despite his outward appearance.  Give it a try and let me know what ya think.

P.S.  Tarus:  I'll definitely let you know when he's around...doesn't get into DC proper much, though he did play Madam's Organ a year or so ago.  I'm hoping he'll hit the mid-Atlantic sometime in the early spring.
