Topic: I need to talk to Joe Bonamassa ASAP

I've been working on Woke up dreaming for 3 years and i can't understand how he is jumping over those strings so quickly...if he's actually doing it the hard way or if he's doing some trick. It's been killing me...I NEED TO KNOW!!!

Re: I need to talk to Joe Bonamassa ASAP

Just watch the video of "Woke Up Dreaming" from the North Sea Jazz Festival and you'll see there are no tricks involved.

No time to do a search, but there was a young guy on this site who posted a link of himself playing Woke Up Dreaming. It was really good. Joe actually posted that the kid played it better than he did! This may have been on the old forum before it was updated. Anybody remember that or who it was? Or...are you still with us???
If I remember correctly, the guy wasn't out of his teens yet.

I was wondering what happened to him....think his board name was Vaughnabe or something like that....lived in like Wisconsin or thereabouts.  Posted a video of him playing Woke Up Dreaming for school talent show...pretty impressive stuff.

I guess it depends what version you're listenening to. On BluesDeluxe he finger picks it. After wearing out his fingers on the road, he started to pick it live.
