Topic: Effect used on "Tea For One"

Anyone have any idea what effect\pedals Joe's using on Tea For One, particularly during the verses. That song creates such a mood.....it's an amazing cover. I'm thinking it his Vibe pedal and something else. His DD-3 maybe?? I need to re-create that tone (of course, I don't have his hands!!)!!!

Any help would be appreciated.

I know for the intro he used a Tele or an Esquire (can't remember exactly but I think it might have been the cream-colored Esquire he used in ANDY Live)... for the "effect" you're talking about (I think this is what you're talking about ) he's probably using his Fulltone Deja-Vibe and a little DD-3 or Fulltone Tube Tape Echo (not sure if he had that then)

Thanks for the reply. I gotta believe that's what he had going on (maybe Joe will read this and chime in). I'm sure we're thinking of the same thing, but it's hard to describe. It probably is the Deja-Vibe and some delay to fatten up the tone. It's just a beautiful sound.

yeah no prob- thats definetly one of my favorite of Joe's tones- its a very "dreamy" sound....

I hear a Les Paul and a Uni-Vibe type pedal -very nice tone!  I think I read somewhere that  Joe used a Tele or an Esquire for the intro only.

Man such an amazing cover,  amazing tone,  AMAZING guitar work.  floors me every time.  but yeah i can get a simialr tone using the deja vibe and some delay.   its pretty sick.  i reccomend a deja vibe there cool.

I have a Idea.....  It was a TC Chorus....on the Marshall superlead.  A prescription Electronics Univibe copy on all.  A korg G-4 slow speed Leslie on the Silver Anniversary only.  Everything dimed(on 10)  and go for it.  EV 12 Ls will handle that kind of level.

A 1953 Tele for the intro only.. Marshall superlead only dry for the intro.
Sorry that was the only overdub except the double guitars.

Thank you kindly for the response. There are few artists who can take a Zepplin tune and make it better, take it to the next level, but that is what you have done with this one. Such a moving peice of music......
