Re: What am I in for Sunday night?

Mark:

Yes. I too thought I was in the third row. What a suprise to lfind out third turned to first row.  I was on the aisle so you must have been to my left.

Re: What am I in for Sunday night?

Yes,

I was on the other aisle, I talked with my friend who was on the board of directors at the Garde and he told me they decided to make the stage bigger!!  What luck....

Re: What am I in for Sunday night?

Hi NHP and Mark -

What about the guy who came up to the best seat in the house (NHP's?) and try to boot you? I was glad to see order restored and justice prevail. What was the title of the last jam song that Joe led (the song before Sam Bush's wild Dylan finale )? I will blame it on being 50 I guess. If anyone did tape the last 4 jams please step forward now...while the music itself sounded great did anyone else up front think Joe and to a lesser degree Sam's vocals seem muffled? Maybe it is the downside to being up so close to the stage...great to meet you NHP

Re: What am I in for Sunday night?

I actually thought that the vocals sounded pretty good but I imagine the mix was probably better furthur back in the house.  The last time I say Joe at Toads place I felt like I was being moved by his amps they were so loud!!!  It seemed quite a bit quieter this time but probably due to the size of the house.  Unfortunately I did not tape it and am not sure of the name of that song.

Re: What am I in for Sunday night?

Vocals were drowned out at times but I think it was being so close. Most of the sound was from the stage monitors not the PA.

Nhpolarbear,

I was completely surprised when I got there and they took me to the front row.  I was sitting directly in front of Joe for the show so you must have been very close to me.  I originally thought I had third row but they ended up making the stage larger and removing the first couple of rows!!!  What is better than that?   What an unbelievable show and Sam Bush and Crosby Messina were also excellent, I am going to buy their CD's right away.  I got to shake Joes hand at the end of the concert after he threw out his pick to the audience.  I wish I could see him at Lupo's on Tuesday because Todd Wolfe is opening and should be a great show.  I talked to Todd at Bank street cafe on Friday night before he played and he was looking forward to it to.  I guess he has opened for him on a few other shows recently.  Rock on!!!  Mark

You were quite close...but actually it's Crosby Loggins. Messina was the other guy.
