My faith in Joe B is restored he is not a video gaming geek. Dino I'm not too sure about you.

Life really isn't complete until you finish the game.  Only then does the journey begin. tongue

Dino:  Very nice article. Enjoyed the reading. Wish Riverfront Times would have carried an article in advance of Joe's show here.  Maybe next time.

So that's why I haven't seen any of the Guitar Hero games in here anywhere (also if I could play a real guitar, why play a fake one?). I know after belting out some of the harder songs, my left hand starts to hurt for days.

This should get some chuckles out of somebody:

I am simply not, nor have ever been a video gamer. In fact, I've never owned a game system ever. I know, that's like saying I've never owned a phone.

Wow,
Lots of things you wanted to know about Joe in a condensed format. Thanks Dino and thanks Joe for being so forthright and sharing.
I could list another 30 or 40 questions without batting an eye, but that part about Joe's hands hurting struck home. Take it easy on the keyboard Joe, we don't want you adding carpal tunnel syndrome to the morning list of aches and pains.

Ditto what Bill said.

I'm glad to see Joe in such a good mood. Thanks to Dino for finding the magic button that got Joe to open up. Joe, you should do this more often. We like it. smile

I'm just saying.

Joe - how about the acoustic in one hand and the electric in the other? lol smile That would rock!

In 1988, when I wasn't playing DefLeppard and Kiss on my nylon stringed acoustic... I was playing Nintendo. Not afraid to admit it.

I tried playing that guitar hero game - my friends have it.  I was like "MAN! Its easier to play the real song on a real guitar!"

Re: Upcoming show in Wausau article by Dino

Kinda funny Joe mentions the swimming and the sharks on here. When he was at Clear Lake IA, my half drunk gf was trying to get him to go for a booze cruise (boat ride) after the show.

He did indeed mention his disdain for swimming and sharks, although I was unclear whether he thought that there might actually be sharks in a lake... big_smile

Re: Upcoming show in Wausau article by Dino

I wont swim in any body of water fresh or salted.  Ive been to the aquarium at the mall of America and have seen what lurks in fresh bodys of water.  Maybe the dead sea oneday.. Maybe

Swimming is a fun experience man.  Your a tactile guy, the act of a complete physical sensation, like being submerged it second to none.

Not to get all poetic, but the idea of having something moving over your skin to that degree, that is awesome.

Re: Upcoming show in Wausau article by Dino

Yeah, I agree with Dino.  It's hard for us Lakeland area dwellers to relate to non-swimmers, but I guess we can cut Joe some slack.  What a weird twist this thread has taken, but it's fun to come home to after a long day at work.  Gotta pick me up the City Pages tomorrow and find your review, Dino.  Later.
