Cathy, you know B'more Bonamaniac Rob will be there! well hopefully he's going to be haven't actually talked to him

here's the Ram's Head FAQ cut and paste

Can I take photographs within the venue?

No cameras are allowed within the venue unless with members of the press. Press must talk to the booking agents and Rams Head Live management prior to shooting

JOE CAN YOU FIX THAT PLEASE IF AT ALL POSSIBLE??????????????????????????

Jane , I sure hope you get that camera in there. Did Rhonda ever tell you the story about our trip to Walmart in Tulsa, Rhonda had to pick up a mega order of photos that they screwed up on.

Roy..When the universe sends you Packers tickets, YOU GO! Have a sleep-over to spare Dawn your "wild" side...then go home and clear the honey-do list thus insuring permission for your next adventure! I prefer to ignore all but the TERPS this year (for obvious reasons)....Jane and I have been talking about the fact that this is our last "next" Joe show! Once the tour page starts showing US dates, we'll all have to pick a spot and meet for a show!                 Sister Cate

Re: Hey Hon.....Ram's Head Live..Bal'mer

Hey Ya'll
Glad to see everyone is going to the Rams Head Live. I was wondering what the deal was with Sam Bush are they playing together or is Sam opening. Either one would be cool, but if there are playing together that should happen at the On Stage setting. This is the place to rock not Annapolis. Just my Two Cents.
P.S. Saw Springsteen last night it was a great show. Paid to much for a bad seat and bad sound. Behind and alllllllll the way up. They really shouldn't sell these tickets unless they point the P A to them. Over all it was nice, The First Growing Up of the tour into Kitty's Back that would blow the hair off your head.
Everyone have fun if we don't meet at the show. Darrell

Cathy,
I called Rams Head and told them about Joe's policy on taping and cameras and they said a decision would be made on wed. after talking to Joe. Joe maybe you could help us out !!!

Re: Hey Hon.....Ram's Head Live..Bal'mer

i'm a lil' bummed about the seats being there because i just fear it means there will be very little standing room.  i don't like to sit, but i also want a good view.  once that center floor spot is taken up with chairs, there ain't gonna be much other room for us folk to stand aside from random corners and back against the wall.  that bites.  i need dancing room!!!!!!

but i am so excited to see joe.  my best friend's hubby is going with me and i promised him he'd love the show.  i just love joe and how he keeps blues alive in a cool, new-but-old-school way.  i think i'm in love.....think he'd go for an old 36-year old chick like me???  ha ha ha !!!

Re: Hey Hon.....Ram's Head Live..Bal'mer

jane.....i really don't listen to the radio much.  mainly because it's just become another outlet for advertisers to push their products and retailers to push their businesses and to me, the focus is more on the money-making aspect of it and is no longer about playing music.  plus, i don't know if it's because of the music tastes of the particular dj's, or if the rotation of songs is regulated by some guy in a suit, but it seems as if less and less i'm hearing the kind of music i'd like to hear and instead am hearing the same, over-played, uninspiring music over and over and over again.  so i listen to my cd's.  to me, there's something that's still very exciting to wait for a new cd to be released.....when sloe gin came out on 8/21, i woke up like a kid on christmas day and drove to record & tape traders to buy it, then i drove to the gas station and filled up my tank, and cruised the highway and listened to the entire cd with the music loud and the windows down.....it was amazing!  and then when the cd was over, and i popped it out....on the local radio station was some jewelry store advertisement about how they sell the biggest, brightest diamonds that will make a girl realize how much she's loved.  what a joke.  that's why  i'm not a fan of radio much anymore these days....it's not about the music, it's about the advertisers using the music to sell their product.  and that's bullshit.  kinda reminds me of what tom petty sings about in his cd "the last dj".....just how the whole music industry seems to be changing for the worst, and radio is a big culprit of the slow demise......anyhoooo...sorry i couldn't be of any help to your survey......i'll step down from my soapbox now.

hey, are you a member of the street team?  i think i emailed them like 4 times requesting to be a member.....maybe me saying that i'm a 36-year old gal turned them away from me...ha ha ha....maybe they're looking for college aged kids?  hmmm.  but hell, i've done the street team thing for gov't mule, and this last east coast tour when i got a stack of info cards in the mail, i spent 3 days talking to people at bars, handing those things out, and hyping up mule's music!  so this old gal can handle it!!!  ha ha!

good luck with your survey.
peace & hugs,
jenn smile

tomorrow night can't get here sooner!!!!!
joe!  joe!  joe!!!!!

well i act like i'm 18, so does that count??!!!  ha ha!!

Re: Hey Hon.....Ram's Head Live..Bal'mer

well i USED to listen to 98rock and HFS.  still do occasionally.  i have a friend that works with 98rock in the airtime sales dept.  and through knowing him, i got to know (just on an acquaintance level) kirk & mark from the morning show there, who now moved over to hfs.  but at best, i'd say i listen to the radio a total of about an hour or two a MONTH.  that's it.  as i said, i stick to my cd's, or internet radio streams, or sirius.

Re: Hey Hon.....Ram's Head Live..Bal'mer

does anyone know how many seats were for sale at the show?  i'm just trying to figure out how much of the floor space they're gonna take up.  the loft is sold out, which i don't like anyway 'cause i like to be at floor level.  and the bleacher seats were a separate price, so that means the 2nd level is also off limits.  the front & center floor space will be for the chairs, so i'm just wondering where they expect all the standing-room-only people to be?  i wasn't being cheap when i bought the standing room only tix, because i prefer to stand at shows.  i don't enjoy sitting at all.  but the way the venue is set up, it seems as if the only places to stand will be along the sides, near the main bar, and behind the soundboard.  don't know how they expect to cram all those people in those confined areas....i hope they didn't over-sell standing room only tickets, 'cause once those chairs are in, there won't be much room left at all.....looks like i'm gonna have to get there as early as possible to claim my spot!!!!

Re: Hey Hon.....Ram's Head Live..Bal'mer

yeah, i know how it's all set up....i've been there countless times!  in my opinion, it's the best venue in the baltimore area.  indeed it's a great venue.  to me, i think the loft is the worst place to be.  i mean, it's great to have a view of the whole stage, but i just feel like it's too "distant", ya know?  and as for the 2nd floor, i just assumed they wouldn't let anyone stand in the front & center in front of the bleachers as to not block their view......and the side rails of the 2nd floor are great so long as you get up front.  i like the 2nd floor to be able to see the keyboards and drums, but it stinks when it gets crowded 'cause people are ramming you into the rails.  that's why i prefer the main floor.  and i agree with you that i hope the chairs don't go all the way back to the soundboard.  that's just ridiculous if they take up all that space just for chairs.  i'm still puzzled as to why they did the chair thing for this show anyway...do they really think 100-some people will utilize those chairs the whole time?  just seems like a lot of wasted space in my opinion.

and jane, i love you for the miss christine plug!  she is wonderful and i give her a BIG hug and a BIG tip every time i see her!!!!  she makes every show so much more special, and i feel like i got a spiritual mamma lookin' out for me every time i see her!!!!!

((((( miss christine ))))))

Re: Hey Hon.....Ram's Head Live..Bal'mer

oh, and another thing that bums me out with the chair thing is that i've always been there early to a show and was able to be up close to the rail....seen ratdog twice right against the rail, for gov't mule i was right at warren's feet, for les claypool i was within arms length of his guitar, and when steve kimock and zero was there i stood right in front of melvin seals!!!  every time i go to rams head, i've enjoyed being able to "mingle" thru that whole main floor area, and hang out up front by the rails.  to me, it takes away from the vibe of the show to have chairs op front.  as i said before, i always thought of rams head as the best standing room only venue.  throwing in chairs just takes away a bit of the vibe, i think..........

Re: Hey Hon.....Ram's Head Live..Bal'mer

Hi guys..Bob called yesterday to ask about their tape/camera policy and to request that they check with Joe's people for his policy. He said he was told there are 48chairs..counting Rob and his mom we have 14 of them! I stood front row balconey for Zappa does Zappa and it was perfect! I enjoyed being over the sound board. This time I'm glad for chairs. I think Joe is "over" being yelled at by rowdy drunks..I hope I don't hurt anybody's feelings, but there's plenty of bar bands around here to give you that kind of show. I know, I'm old...I wonder when I'll get a senior citizen discount? lol     CXathy

Re: Hey Hon.....Ram's Head Live..Bal'mer

48 chairs, eh?  Well, I'll be right behind um screaming my head off. smile

Jane...will you be sitting?  I can't imagine you are.
