Re: COVINGTON, KY MADISON THEATER

Another great show...Joe closed with One Of These Days...Ist time I've heard it and it rocked...We had a surprise visitor...Lead singer from Kenny Wayne Shepards band...Joe indicated that he lived in the area...He joined the band for a bluesy song...I thought for a moment that it was going to be Peter Frampton since he lives in Cincinnati and Joe used to open for him several years ago...

Only negative comment...IT WAS TOO LOUD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...Maybe it was the venue...But you go from the absolute perfect sound at the Cleveland HOB to an ear rattler in Kentucky...Joe doesn't need to play that loud...It distorts his voice and the music...This was the 16th time I've seen Joe and I must admit that for the first time I will bring ear plugs just in case the next time...

I thought it was a fantastic show!!!  Incredible guitar work by Joe.  Did you see Scotty Bratcher in the crowd?  He was sitting in a couple tables up from us with the singer from KWS.
Thanks to the band for coming out to say hi to all of us after the show!!

Re: COVINGTON, KY MADISON THEATER

Hi-

We just got home from Covington, KY, and had a great weekend and especially a great time at the show.  I was tipped off early Sunday evening that Noah Hunt was possibly going to sit in with the band.  It was a special night, seeing Noah on the stage at the first encore for "Shame, Shame, Shame," with Joe & the guys.  Noah left the stage, then Joe played Ball Peen Hammer and after that they took a bow & left-- then surprised everyone by coming back for One of These Days, complete with some slide!  Nico got his guitar signed (again) by Joe and Noah very kindly also signed it.  The band was very tight and I continue to be very impressed with Bogie, Carmine and Rick doing such an awesome job accompanying Joe.  I believe this was a special night and can't wait to see Joe and the band in Greensburgh, PA, on Wed., the 21st.

Here is the setlist:

Bridge to Better Days
Walk in my Shadows
So Many Roads
Mountain Time
Another Kind of Love
Sloe Gin

Acoustics:
High Water Everywhere
If Heartaches Were Nickels
Woke Up Dreaming

Django
Just Got Paid (w/Dazed & Confused & Drum Solo)

Encore#1
Shame, Shame, Shame by special guest singer Noah Hunt
Ball Peen Hammer

Encore#2
One of These Days
