Topic: Amsterhammer (George Levine)

I know he hasn't been around for a while. He's busy on Facebook. But I wanted to let his old buddies know that he's not doing well. He fought cancer back in 2018 and did well. However, it came back with a vengeance and has now spread to bone and brain. He was able to come to the States and spend XMas with his son's family, and time with me. His status declined in front of my eyes. He'll enter the cancer hospital on Monday and they will see what kind of palliative treatment they can offer. They also have inpatient hospice available for him. You can imagine how devastated he is by the latest news. So, if anybody would like to send him a message I know he'd love to hear from you. Thanks, Cathy

Very sorry to hear this news.  George is one of the very few Bonabuds I actually have spoken to.  What a world of musical knowledge and a great man.  I’ll be praying for you George and hope you can somehow whip cancer’s ****.  Take care to both you and Cathy!

Cathy, my heart goes out to both of you.   Neither of you deserve this.

Re: Amsterhammer (George Levine)

I was heartbroken to see his post on f/b. I sent a sweet memory of better times we spent with him in Amsterdam.
God bless you both.
