Didn’t see anyone start a thread.I always find it interesting and do find new music through others favorites.
So here are mine and doesn’t have to be blues
1) Supersonic Blues Machine Californisoul
Pretty classic bluesrock great songs and musicianship all around
2) KWS Lay It On Down
3) Hard Driver Freedom Machine
A bit off the mainstream but a groovin heavy bluesrock for sure
4) Rufus Black Rise Up
5)BCC 4 Hard to put it at 5 But the others found my ears more this year
6) Middle of The Road Eric Gales
7) Witchy Feeling Savoy Brown
8) Change My Game Thornbjorn Risager
9) Groove Cubed RCFP
10) 10x10 Ronnie Montrose

Thanks for posting Nick.I am going to check out your list.I think  that Wobbler is a prog band ? I do like prog too but my main tastes run more to the traditional blues rock these days.I would put prog as a second favorite genre though.My past and early musical collection  was heavily prog.

Yikes.  I see I only bought 6 studios CDs in 2017.  By far my worst performance.

Sons of Apollo's "Psychotic Symphony" is my favorite album of the year, right up there with BCC IV.

Wobbler are very much a Prog band! Very Yes, especially on earlier albums, but now with a bit more well, Wobbliness to them!
My tastes cycle between Trad Metal/Blues Rock/Prog. 2017 was very much a Prog wave smile

There's been a number of great albums released and a couple late 2016...

1. Rufus Black/Rise Up - I like this album the best; a little Funk, Soul and Classic Rock.  Always liked Scott Mckeon and he delivers some memorable riffs.  Some songs remind me of Humble Pie meets Bad Company meets Al Green and James Brown.

2. Greta Van Fleet/From the Fire - Rock is alive and well and Safari Song says it well.

3.  KWS/Lay It Down - Kenny drifted from his usual formula of Muscle Blues to a very Countryish record.

Honorable Mentions - Hamish Anderson/Trouble, Jake Bugg/Hearts That Strain, Harry Styles and Marcus King Band (2016).

Went through your red list and they're all good, but Jack J Hutchinson"s album really stood out.  Good stuff!

Mike - I checked them out and quickly downloaded their album, especially after you mentioned the twin guitars.
The singer in this band, like the ones in Rufus Black, Jack J Hutchinson and GVF are all exceptional vocalists.  The one in Austin Gold may be the best.
Been impressed lately with your fountain of musical knowledge.  It's been expensive.  I went out and got everything of Jack J Hutchinson.  His acoustic album reminds me of early Aynsley.  Keep on trucking buddy!

Thanks good stuff.I should have mentioned To did find them but they came listed after the good dealer lol.Hopefully for them that will turn around  real soon!

Actually it was three years ago I first heard Hamish Anderson and after a good number of listens I promptly moved on to the next band or musician.  I reconnected today and discovered a new album released this year titled Out of My Head.  Again it's an awesome release and maybe should be looked into by lovers of good new music.  I'll try to find a video to sample.

Finally got hold of a copy of Out of My Head (think the air-mail it came on was a DC5...), love it,  love it, LOVE IT. Not an all-out rocker, more "pop" rock moments if anything,  but it is so well played and such a great voice. Really impressed by the slower numbers too.
