Re: Eric Tessmer...

Tessmer is fantastic. I saw him twice in Texas and once in Milwaukee (he's originally from Wisconsin). Good raw talent, on the level of Wes Jeans. Another Texas guitar slinger.

When I was a child I spoke as a child, But all I heard was how I should get ahead,
Now growing up it ain't anything but all This indecision with these debts and doubts
And worries hanging over my head. When I was a child I spoke as a child,
I wish I could remember what I said.

Re: Eric Tessmer...

Tessmer's okay, but too much aligned with the whole SRV clone school for my taste.

Give back the lemons.  Why were the lemons free?  What's wrong with the lemons?
Do Not trust the lemons...

Re: Eric Tessmer...

Eric Tessmer wasn't a name I recognized so I looked him up on my computer.....

Back in the early Oughts this guy was taking up the SRV mantle and it fit him comfortably.  A very skillful blues guitarist to say the least.  There's a couple live albums that are pretty good and worth checking out.

His new album is under the "Pop" genre which I find odd.  The interesting tidbit about my search is he's included in a very nice 2018 compilation of Austin musicians called ALL ATX Vol. 5: Back to the Armadillo.  Eric is joined by female singer doing Skynyrd's "Saturday Night Special".  This song really rocks and breathes new life to the original.  I ended up getting the whole album as I love great covers.  A special shout to my old fave Monte Montgomery who gives his unique style to "Love Is Alive".
