Topic: Microphone between Joe’s monitors?

Hi everybody,
I saw Joe live a few weeks ago and realized that on stage, there is a microphone on a small stand placed right between Joe’s monitors.
I checked on the internet and it confirmed that he always has this microphone at the same place.
I was wondering if anyone knows what this microphone is for (Feedback eliminator? Or maybe for the recordings?)

Thanks!

Charlie.

I don't know about this situation, but I do know that sometimes there's a mic on stage that the sound engineer uses to get a feel for the stage sound, to help keep the musicians happy. I'm curious about it now...

How I’d love to see you smile....

It's probably there to pick up the midrange from his knees, as we all know, tone is in the knees.
