Topic: Signs - Tedeschi Trucks Band
I know TTB has a post already started but I can't find the search tool.......Anyway, just wanted to alert any fans here that the new album, Signs, released yesterday is a real standout album. I've got all their albums and I think this one is way more soulful with controlled guitar solos (think Clapton's quiet genius). If anything, Derek Trucks seems to be playing more from the heart and this might be his best album.
The loss of a number of mentors: Leon Russell, Col Hampton, Butch Trucks and Gregg Allman have a profound effect on the songs, but definitely in a good way. My favorite songs are the opener "Signs, High Times", "Still Your Mind" (my fave and with an awesome solo), and the get up and dance "They Don't Shine."
