Richard Hawley - Live At The Devil’s A***

Bit of a special this, Richard first released a “live” album from this venue in 2007 and re-visited and recorded in 2017.

The original show is being re-released in August, along with the re-visit show and they can be bought separately or together, CD or Vinyl, special deals on Pledge Music.

Didn't realize I had songs off seven of his album from 10 years ago.  Great singer that reminds me of Roy Orbison.  Great shout Mike.

Hard to pin Richard down to a particular genre, but a brilliant musician and writer.

Looked for the original release of the 1st Live album and the cheapest Amazon Marketplace is about £45, so this release is a bit of a bargain.

Got the two Live At The Peak Cavern, nr Castleton, Derbyshire (They probably won't let you say Devil's Arse on here) albums a short while back.

Only two songs are shared over the 2 albums, Ashes In The Fire & Just Like The Rain.  Similarly, despite the 10 year gap between the recordings, Shez Sheridan remains on guitar as does Jon Trier on keyboards.

Two very mellow, quality albums; highly recommended; the re-working of Standing At The Sky's Edge would even make Joe's eyes water.
