This excites me! If "Redemption" is any indication, we are hearing Joe progress to heights even new to him. Did I say I AM EXCITED?!?!?!?!????!!!!!
Just listened again and that taste of Led Zeppelin's "Kashmir" whets my appetite! I had a taste of LZ in "Blue and Evil", so it obvious Joe is a fan.
Best news ever! Can't wait!!!! Already in love with this album.
Title track available on Apple Music
Love it Joes voice is now as good as his playing. Vocals awesome when the ladies kick in the hair on my arms stood up. Goes without saying his guitar work is stellar
Cheers Ron
Just in time for my birthday at the end of September!!!
Wasn't sold on Redemption at first, but even by the end of the first listen I was a convert.
Has a very Black Rock vibe to it to me....
Just got this from Peter Noble :
Two-time GRAMMY-nominated blues-rock titan Joe Bonamassa returns with a brand new studio album, ‘Redemption’, which will be released on 21st September 2018 via Provogue/Mascot Label Group in Europe and J&R Adventures in North America.
Redemption, Bonamassa’s 13th solo studio album and third in a row of all original material, sees him at his most ambitious and diverse as he continues to redefine and push the barriers of blues-rock. It features a collection of 12 exhilarating songs that reflect the re-birth that he is currently going through. “I’m going through some other stuff in my life I didn’t expect to be going through. It’s a rising, it’s contrition, it’s acceptance, it’s everything. It’s painful, but knowing that there’s a rising coming,” he explains.
The album reunites Bonamassa with some of Nashville’s finest music minds such as Tom Hambridge, James House, Gary Nicholson as well as Richard Page, Dion Dimucci and continues his long creative relationship with Kevin Shirley. “From a Producer’s perspective, this is far and away the most challenging and diverse album that Joe has ever made, “says Shirley
The album was recorded at various locations including, Blackbird Studios, Nashville TN, The Cave Australia, Sydney OZ, Studio At The Palms, Las Vegas NV, Criteria Hit Factory, Miami FL and Addiction Sound Studios, Nashville TN. It was once again recorded with a remarkable collection of musicians including; drummer Anton Fig, bassist Michael Rhodes, keyboardist Reese Wynans, horn players Lee Thornburg and Paulie Cerra, harmony vocalist Gary Pinto, background singers Mahalia Barnes, Jade McRae, Juanita Tippins and Kevin Shirley introduced two extra guitar players, Kenny Greenberg and Doug Lancio. “It was interesting, because having two extra guitar players involved, allowed me to play a certain way,” Bonamassa adds.
Nice to see JB continue to release all original albums. We get all the covers we need through his works like Muddy Wolf & British Blues Explosion. After listening to Redemption, can't wait to hear the rest.
Not particularly digging the first track, but still excited about the album. Looking forward to more originals.
Yeah starting to hear versions of Joe 1.0 guitar work with the backup singers. Not something I would have expected but was really a delightful unexpected surprise. Looking forward to much more.

Ron, I know just what you mean about the ladies singing back-up. Goosebumps. Hyper-stoked to hear the whole project!

The song is really good and I like it a lot
It seems to fit the style of Joes writing these days.I see some similarities to Song Of Yesterday,Hadrian’s Wall,And Last Song For My Resting Place kind of vibe.
This is something more main stream commercial sounding which he seems to have at least one an album
sounds real nice!! anyone make that video into a MP3??
some one told its possible??
