Post on FB by a guy who attended yesterday's concert:

" - The point (in my humble opinion) is this. Mr Bonamassa has grown in popularity to something verging on superstar status, with a following that transcends his ‘roots’ and humble beginnings. He is now as hot a commercial property as you can get in our area of music and can (whether we like it or not) demand the big bucks. The reason he has got himself into this position is because he is one very talented, not to mention hard working guy. The fact that he has broken free of genre preconceptions and made his way to the top is a credit to him and his team. "

Re: Europe Summer tour 2018

It's interesting how different people's perceptions are of a show. We went to Hampton Court Palace and it was a good show, but the whole night I kept feeling like there was something bothering Joe. He just seemed a little off at this show. It was quite chilly, about 57 degrees and this probably didn't help matters for him. He even went over to a heater that was placed on stage so that he could warm up his hands a bit, but I felt it was more than just the cold. When he posted on instagram and twitter afterwards that the night was one of great joy and sadness and also that it had been an emotional evening I realized that my perceptions had been pretty correct. Something had been troubling him. I hope everything is alright with him. I don't like to see him troubled. He did seem to really enjoy having Kirk Fletcher come out and join him. They did a fantastic version of "Breaking Up Somebody's Home" that rivaled some of the jams we had seen them do together on the cruise. That song was definitely the highlight of the show. I was a bit bummed they didn't do "How Many More Times" since it is a great way to end the set and such a rockin song, but I guess the time constraints caused them to cut it. Personally I would have preferred Sloe Gin cut and How Many More Times played instead but, obviously those decisions are not up to me. It was wonderful to see a show at Hampton Court Palace since it is such a cool place. Probably one of the most interesting places we've ever seen Joe play and we had a wonderful evening picnicking on the lawns with our friends before the performance. I only filmed 2 songs since there were two large guys sitting right in front of me who were hard to see around and I've kind of pulled back from filming at Joe's shows anyway. I did try and take a few photos because the castle wall was such a cool backdrop but the lighting was a bit peculiar and I didn't get many good ones.

Re: Europe Summer tour 2018

I agree, though Joe seemed to be "on fire" at Budapest 2 days later. Was the Budapest concert filmed for release?

It was filmed only for the screens by the local crew. A great concert it was, but Joe seemed to be a bit tired - which I can fully understand.

I am sure Joe was awesome. He has his days like us all. I never read anything into stuff then speculate on a forum. That’s his business.
I heard Budapest was off the hook awesome.

To me, Joe at his least awesome is better than most at their best...live or recordings...
