Not sure if you have seen him before, but you’re in for a great night.
I’ve seen him with Porcupine Tree and solo on the Hand,Cannot,Erase tour, both of which were excellent
Enjoy the experience

Thanks for that; I've had my arm twisted by a friend so finally taking the plunge. Look out for my usual report next week.
Tonight Joe Bonamassa
Tomorrow night Joanne Shaw Taylor
Thursday night Walter Trout
Monday night Mike Zito
March 31st The Guitarsonist....
Joanne cancelled as you probably know. I did not see you (nor you me, even though we are both hard to miss in a small crowd) if you were at Walter’s (Great!) show last night.
Oh well...

We were there...sorry we missed you...I thought that the sound mix was a bit off, with Walter's guitar not being loud enough on about half the songs....the first 2 especially, then it sounded fine on the third song, then, in and out....maybe just where we were sitting because my friends all had the same sensation....I'm not going to make the Mike Zito show after all....damn birthdays get in the way....

That was my first show at Yoshi’s. I have to agree on the mix. It seems a shame because the architectural design of the room should afford excellent audio results. It was horrible, professionally speaking,...meaning it wasn’t like an untrained amateurish foulup. And seeing and hearing Walter have to fight against the mix especially at the closing number...... The performances were anything BUT horrible (again, Great!), but that is obviously fantastic musicians rising above the situation at hand.

I've been to half a dozen shows at Yoshii's and this is the first time I have had a problem with the sound...I have no idea what the problems were or how to correct them but it did effect the show adversely...."Please Rocket, don't take this one show as a gauge for Yoshii's sound quality...I've seen Ana Popovic, Walter Trout (on a different date), Doyle Bramhall, Tinsley Ellis and a few others there in the past...

GRETA VAN FLEET in Glasgow on Sunday. Sold out show.
April 8 - deciding between Eric Gales and Tommy Emmanuel. I'm going out of town for work the next morning, so it's tough to make it out but I've to to see at least one of them. I'm leaning Eric Gales, but it'll be a last-minute decision.

I ended up going to see Eric Gales, and he blew me away. I saw him on one of the Experience Hendrix tours and he was great, but solo with his band was a whole other thing. I've been a bit burned out on blues & blues/rock lately, but Eric Gales totally restored the faith. Great show.
