Topic: Bob Margolin w/Nappy Brown in Delaware ..Albert Cummings in Philly

After Michael and Sharon left, Bob (Tarus52) came from the D.C. area and we headed north for a day of music. First the Delaware Blues Society show with Bob Margolin and Nappy Brown. Bob is a long standing blues man who offered up a sampling of all that is the blues. Simple to flashing fingers on the fret..very enjoyable..Nappy Brown brings the element of Sunday go to meeting style signing. He's an elderly man but that doesn't stop him from being a little hoochy-coochy!! He was laying on the floor at times, gyrating, howling, women all over him..it was fun! Bob is also a mainstay at Blues Review and Blues Wax...nice guy, great player, and someone to put on your must see list..then we went into Philadelphia to Warmdaddys for Albert Cummings. He has fans that follow him around like Joe, so it was fun to reconnect with them. Rumor is Albert's contract with Blind Pig is coming to an end..imo..He would be great for Joe's label!!! I've said it before, but I'll reiterate, Albert is one heck of a guitar player and NICE guy!! He always ends with a Hendrix mix that leaves you spent. Another MUST SEE!!! Other than taking a few wrong turns and locking my keys in the car (all Bob's fault) it was a great day!! Remember..get out there and support live music.....Cathy

Hi Cathy-I signed up to get e-mails from Warmdaddy's after Carl told me about someone who was going to be there.  I never get anything from them, I'll have to check it out.   I would have liked to have seen Albert Cummings.   What area is taurus from?  A few wrong turns, sounds familiar lol, bummer about the car keys.  I did that once at a concert and I had double coverage, AAA and my car came with some service which I discovered that night, which came faster than AAA...I'm not sure why I decided to miss the beginning of the concert instead of dealing with the car afterwards. roll

Angela, I had even better help....someone with "experience", (didn't ask how)lol, used a coat hanger and had it opened in a few minutes. Bob lives outside D.C.. He stayed the night. Michael and Sharon, then Bob..Bona B&B..sounds good..who's next? lol..Anyway, Warmdaddy's has some great acts. Call and reserve a table if you go. Also they tend to advertise 2 shows, but they tend to be 2 sets in reality.. I've never had to pay to stay thru the second show...Let me know if you ever go..I'll see what's on my calendar. I'm trying to get them to book Albert Castiglia again..Carl will come to that one...Cathy
