We saw Albert this weekend at the Western Maryland Blues Fest. He has a new album out called "Big Dog". He always looks like he's having a fun time when he's playing. He had Mike Zito come out and join him on one song that Mike is featured on in the new album. They are such great friends and they were hilarious to watch during their solo together, back to back, pushing against each other, play fighting. Bunch of goofballs, lol. It was a great time smile

I agree Natasha.....We saw Albert a couple of weeks ago in San Francisco at Biscuit and Blues and he was fantastic.....great guy with a sense of humor....his guitar work is phenomenal and his shows are just plain fun....don't miss him if you get a chance to see him....

We went to see Albert & Tinsley Ellis at the Sellersville Theatre last weekend. It was a fun show. I like Albert, he's a really sweet guy and a great guitar player, I just wish he would slow down his playing sometimes. So many of his songs are a bit frenetic and feel like they sound the same, but when he plays a slower one or plays with others and takes solos, he is so good. He did a solo on Spoonful when Tinsley had him join him on stage and Albert's solo was so tastefully done. It shows how good he really is. Wish he would do more songs that would showcase his ability better. He did play some songs he said were written by Mike Zito that were quite good. He joked that Zito gives him these songs to record because Mike's wife isn't fond of them, lol. If you listen to the words on "Quit Your Bitchin'" you'll understand wink .
