Topic: Red Rocks on August 23rd

HELLO!!! Any going to the Red Rocks concert this year? And if so did anyone do the VIP package deal? There are six of us traveling from Gettysburg PA - Red rocks is a bucket list item for us and what better way than to do it up right and see Joe. Looking forward to meeting and seeing some folks. I would imagine the block of rooms booked for the VIP package might be close to each other. WOW a whole floor of Bona fans Rut Rho........ should be a blast smile smile

Re: Red Rocks on August 23rd

Hey Sredding.  I will be there.  4th year in a row.  Have enjoyed all the tribute shows at Red Rocks and being part of those iconic performances, but really looking forward to seeing Joe perform a set of his music this year.  I will admit I am somewhat biased being someone who lives in Colorado (only about 15 mins from Red Rocks) and who loves Red Rocks deeply, but I believe experiencing a show there is worthy of a bucket list experience. I hope it is everything you are looking forward to and more.  I am not part of the VIP experience.  Would love to hear a report on how that goes after the fact.  Enjoy!

also....not sure how long you are staying in Colorado, but if I can answer any questions for you or provide any info on other things to do, etc don't hesitate to ask.  Happy to be of assistance if I can help with anything.

Re: Red Rocks on August 23rd

oops....also forgot to mention I grew up in Williamsport, Pennsylvania so also have the PA connection.  Visited Gettysburg many times growing up and still have lots of family in PA.

Hello!!!
Thanks so much for the info. NOW we are really excited. Have been looking at everything Red Rocks! What a magical place! We are getting in on Saturday afternoon late. Traveling to Evergreen for the first night - looks like a fun town . Then Sunday heading up on the OMG road ( haha) to black hawk/central city area. Have some friends there. Onward up to Estes for Sunday and Monday night for RMNP.  Tuesday back to Denver for the show on Wednesday- heading home on Friday
Any suggestions on what to see along those routes?
And also know your home turf well smile my husband went to Wyoming seminary , and Mansfield. Have friends in Wellsboro . So go up to that area often. Beautiful!!!
Thanks again for reaching out!
Have a great weekend!

Re: Red Rocks on August 23rd

Saw Joe at Red Rocks for the 4th year in a row. I have enjoyed the previous 3 years but was excited to hear Joe doing Joe this time.
The concert was off the charts again. I did not hear a bad note, even when Joe talked about starting a song in the wrong note.
We did the package deal and had a great time. Got excellent seats and had a blast meeting up with fellow fans.
I saw Mahalia Barnes walking around downtown on 16th Street Mall but was too star struck to approach her. Then we ran into Joe's manager, Roy Weisman! Roy! I was really nervous as I was introduced by my friend, Carol. He was very nice and let us take a picture with him. He asked "Joe is getting better every year isn't he? I said yes but I missed the Power Trio days, since I first discovered Joe in 2005. He said they had some Power Trio stuff in the plans. It was very exciting to meet him.
Then Joe at Red Rocks doing Joe songs made my trip from Oklahoma worth every mile, again! Thank you Joe for another great show. You never disappoint. It was my 17th Joe show since 2006 and it will not be my last.
Joe, you have become an immaculate entertainer. I love seeing the word "Songwriter" now used to describe you! Congrats to you on all your success!

Re: Red Rocks on August 23rd

Thanks for the review. I enjoyed the pictures of the fans there on f/b.
It wasn't to be this year. One month to go and life will be back to normal. Helen returns from her year of helping family abroad and you'll see us catching up soon. Supporting two households crimped the finances too.
We're booked for Palm Springs.

Free download from Vienna! http://mbsy.co/bNLR
Lots of unique videos of Joe http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cwd5vL8fXTw

We missed you this year, my friend. It was nothing like 2014 but fun anyways. It is never the same without you and Helen though.  I know you will be back on the "Joe Train" soon. Hope to see you down the road.
