Re: U.K. Tour for march 2018

Sage booked for me. Not been in Sage One before but seems popular. (Seen Ryan McGarvey in Sage Two a couple of times).
Will make a change from the Metro Radio Arena, don't think Joe particular liked the venue.

JB shows: Newcastle 2015, Hammersmith nights 3&4 2015, Calling Festival 2014, Newcastle 2012, Bridlington 2010
Guitars: Gibson Custom Shop Les Pauls; Skinnerburst #018 (Aged), Texas Burst (Heavy Aged), Fender Custom Shop Strat '63 Relic
Amps: Mini Jubilee Head, Carol-Ann Satin

You can break it down to how much each band member's share will be, doesn't change the fact it's a ridiculous price.

As you know the ticket prices have been flogged to death here and yes you can choose whether to go or not but the fans I feel sorry for are those who just cannot afford to go. The price of success!!

I can afford to go but choose not to at these prices. I have seen Joe on most UK tours since 2011 but I have to draw the line.

So far this year I have seen Robben Ford, Kirk Fletcher, Mud Morganfield and Matt Schofield. The combined cost of the tickets for those 4 gigs was less than the cheapest ticket for Joe in Cardiff!

So don't go. None you mention, though they all are good journeymen, produce a comparable product. Consistent sellouts by Joe in ever larger venues, even adding multiple dates at some locations to accommodate demand tell me he's got a market that is willing to pay his price. He's running with top level acts across all genres and holding his own.
Bottom line, the product demand sets the price. Good old fashioned capitalism at its best.
I've had to cut back on my entertainment spending too lately. Joe still is on the top peg, I won't settle for second best. One show of his is worth 4 or 5 second-raters in my book. The good players don't tour much in San Diego and when they do it's not at the best venues.
