Re: Live at Carnegie Hall release

I was going to wait for the release date but... no...impossible... just pre ordered mine today!!!

Re: Live at Carnegie Hall release

We lost our major cd reseller stores, the new takeover store wasn't listing Bonamonster,
So I pre-ordered but have it shipped to my brother's in the USA to keep my shipping costs down.

I'll pick it up in late July from him

Yes I received a shipping notice on Friday as well

Re: Live at Carnegie Hall release

Got mine yesterday.  Haven't watched the DVD yet, but listened through the entire audio.  Have to say I am really enjoying this.  I definitely prefer Joe fully amplified to his acoustic shows.  And....while I enjoy the Vienna Opera House show, it isn't one of the Joe albums I revisit nearly as often as others.  However; I can definitely see this one being a favorite that I enjoy frequently.  I really like the different instrumentation, textures, versions of the songs.  And the full band approach to the acoustic show.  All in all it gets the Konkman seal of approval.  ( I am sure just exactly what Joe was hoping for).

Re: Live at Carnegie Hall release

Watched the bonus DVD, behind the scenes, last night. I always enjoy that stuff. Tonight I watch the concert DVD. I'm so glad I got to attend a show from this tour.

Re: Live at Carnegie Hall release

The duet shredfest with cellist Tina Guo maybe the greatest ever recorded!!!

Re: Live at Carnegie Hall release

I've seen the duel before yes it's good, but overall I'm not jumping up and down about this release.

I find the "costumes" distracting and 'up stages' Joe.

I look at it as a one off Joe release.

I find I go back to ANDY or Rockplast, Beacon or RAH09 more.

Joe can do more with no strings on his guitar than I can do with 6 on mine.
That's why I keep buying his releases, and nobody else's.
