Topic: Amazing Journey - The Who

Who likes "The Who"?  I just watched an incredible documentary on VH1 Classic about this (IMHO Amazing) band.  I had the opportunity to see them in concert way back in the 80's. at the Tampa Stadium.  If I remember correctly, they played 3 straight high energy hours without a break and they were just incredible. 

If you do like them, try to catch this show on VH1 Classic.  You will love it.  It's a very interesting documentary. They are repeating this show tonight at 9:30 Eastern time.

Thanks for the heads up on the repeat tonight Susan. I caught the last 20 min. or so on Sat. night and found it entertaining even though I thought there wasn't anything I didn't know about them at this point. The part I saw really brings you up to the minute on what's happening now and where they're going. I found Pete's comment, "we're all we've got now", very poignant indeed speaking of himself and Roger.

Loudest band ever in decibels at one gig! something like 125 or so, I'm sure one of you know the exact story.

Civic Auditorium San Francisco 1970 saw them on the Who's Next Tour. On the 4th day after the show the ringing finally stopped in my ear, I was going to the hospital that day if it hadn't. I thought I was OK since it stopped, but I'm pretty sure there was some irrepairable damage, and we were sitting in the balcony in the back!!!
