Topic: New Acquisition

Having tried one recently having heard nothing but good reviews online and on you tube, I have just acquired a Boss Katane 100 amp and have to say all the apparent hype is totally justified. Not a modelling amp but loads of different Boss effects (55 in all available). I can certainly say I am surprised by the power and I am sure 100 is the 100 watt valve equivalent of it. I'm still fiddling at the moment but the quality of the effects is first rate. I would recommend  it to anyone playing for fun or gigs. How Boss have done it for the price is anyone's guess. The Tone studio stuff is for once easy to use for the more mature of us also. Also love the power switching from 100 to 50 to 0.5 to silent/headphones. I know transistors aren't going to impress the pure valve people so no need for derisory comments, but my valve amp is up for sale. big_smile
